The beautifully made Berber-style basket is hand woven by artisans in Bangladesh from kaisa grass - a plentiful wild grass that grows all around their workshops. The addition of brightly coloured jute woven through adds warm interest to the basket. This basket is made exclusively for Myakka by a WFTO (World Fair Trade Organisation) manufacturer that works to empower female artisans in Bangladesh by providing them with earning opportunities through trade justice. A circular lidded basket of the same style is also available.
