I was excited when I got it because I had heard good things. This review is based on using it with an Esbit alcohol stove and Klean Strip (Green) Denatured Alcohol. When flames are directly into the metal, it scorches the finish (not soot, literally ruins the finish) and today the metal even warped downward toward the flame as if it was melting. Over all the finish quality is not that great and the metal if it is really melting/warping isn't suitable in my opinion. I'm getting more and more disappointed with it as I use it. The main weakness of this stove is wind and it should of came with a windshield by default (they may now, when I got mine it didn't). If I could send it back, I would but it's been too long.You can try to use it right side up to avoid scorching the metal but with smaller pots the intended use is to flip it upside down. This is what I did today and the metal turned gunmetal gray (doesn't wash off) and is now dipped inward as if it melted slightly. Its also shifted the metal around so that it is harder to slip the little plate in and out. I don't think it was worth the $25 I spent on it, nor the $20 it is listed at now. There is better out there.

we took it to nearby lake for a day trip. we used wood to heat up our soup. it worked great and its compact/light. you can use the fuel "cubes" too. handy we will be taking it for cold day trips/hikes.

I love the many different ways this stove can be used. It's very versatile in terms of the configurations and the types of fuel that can be used. It's a bit heavy to backpack with, but as a camp stove it's a great size.

Works well and is durable. I picked it for the cook stove as well as the pellets. The pellets have no odor unlike the smokeless ones. The smoke isn’t a lot either. Only wish the combo or at least one was lighter. The set is a little heavy when lightweight packing.

Its seems to be built really well. The metal is thicker then I thought it would be and the rivets are all done right with not hangs or burrs. I very happy with this stove and I can't wait to use it.

Seams to be built well. Lot of reviews say it's to heavy. All I can say is. do you want it to fall apart on the first use? It's not to heavy for one. Tie the little doors shut and hang it from your pack. It's great.

I've had this stove for a year and a half, and I've decided to revise my initial impulsive review.First of all this item is really heavy for its size, and I find that it's not worth lugging around, anywhere, for any reason. The listing advertises that you can burn sticks as fuel, but after repeated failed attempts to do this efficiently, my conclusion is that there isn't enough ventilation to keep a stick fire going. I find I'm better off digging a small pit and making a small fire on the ground.It does work alright with the discs it comes with, but I'd rather not have to repeatedly buy those expensive things just to cook a meal. If they'd advertised it differently, told the truth about what you need to use as fuel I'd have a different opinion, but I also wouldn't have bought it in the first place.Ultimately it ended up being an expensive piece of metal wasting space in my closet. I'd hate to write such a harsh review but I'm very disappointed overall.

Perfect for car camping and day hikes, a bit too heavy for backpacking. Versatile usage for different pan size or fuel. Love it!
