I am a huge Tim Holtz fan and felt compelled to buy this book. If I had known about it years ago the book would have been much more useful. The contents are very basic crafting skills known to most who partake in this activity. If you are new to the craft, by all means buy the book. But if you aren't then skip it. The products used are mostly retired and the skills he covers are really basic skills, nothing new was learned. Still, it's Tim and I wanted the book so I got it. Up on the shelf it goes.

Anything with the Tim Holtz name on it is perfect to me. This book was given to be for a birthday present and I love it! There are a lot of techniques that are explained very clearly. For anyone who loves to do altered art or steampunk art, this is a must have. There is a second volume also with more techniques.

Just what I needed! Each project has a list of required supplies, with a list of suppliers in the back, so even if you this is your first venture into paper crafts (as it is mine) you know exactly what to do and how to do it. Good step by step directions wth accomppanying photos. An excellent beginning!
