4d xps compatible
Bought this for my 4D XPS DUO lantern (the one with the 2 detachable lights) after Coleman parts told me there was no replacement and that I would have to buy the rechargeable. With tax and shipping it would cost $41. More than what I paid for the lantern???? I bought this because the seller said it would work and it works perfectly. A little different design but.... The thing that they did not improve is the latch or tab that you push to open it. I broke the last one off even though I had only used it once before. I kept pushing on the tab trying to get it to release and it broke off. Now I know that you have to push down on the lid while pushing the tab. This is true even when there are no batteries.FYI: The lantern works without the rechargeable batteries in the detachable lights.

Works well
This line of Coleman products is pretty cool, how they are powered by the same battery pack. I do wish they were a little bit lighter, but I guess it's not bad at all for car camping.

Worked just fine.
I had to purchase this to replace the one which came with the lantern that somehow broke. I had considered the rechargeable battery pack but to me, after reading many reviews about how the rechargeable battery packs are not up to par, it was the sensible thing to get instead. It worked just fine, and we used it in a lantern the weekend after we had received it with no problems. I would suggest that if you are considering the rechargeable battery pack that instead, you get another one of these and get some rechargeable "D" batteries for both the new one and the one that came with the lantern. In that way when you are recharging a set of batteries, you have some in the lantern. And if you do a lot of car camping as I do, you can charge the "dead" batteries if the site your at has an electric hook up.

Replaced the rechargeable battery cartridge with 4D battery cartridge
I had the rechargeable battery cartridge for my Coleman lantern and it wasn't fitting my needs. I wanted a light to use during power outages, but unless you kept the rechargeable battery charged, the juice would just drain out and was useless when the power did go out. I didn't have to buy a new flashlight; I just replaced the cartridge with one that takes regular batteries and the Coleman lantern works great. If the regular batteries die, then at least I can replace them with fresh batteries and still have a light source. I would have preferred the rechargeable battery cartridge, but I found that unless you use it and charge it frequently, it is not as reliable as the regular battery cartridge.

Colemab Battery Case or Cartrige CPX6 Compatible
I bought this battery case to put batteries into this case for my flood light COLEMAN FLOODLIGHT. (IT HOLDS FOUR BATTERIES. I bought this so if the power runs out of the charged cartridge I can replace it with this battery cartridge. If you can not charge your light, no power. Also they make a power card to charge your batteries through you cigerate lighter. GET ONE FOR YOUR LIGHT. James D. North

Batteries Not Included.
A great alternative to the expensive replacement rechargeable battery packs. D-Cell batteries insure long performance and use. Plus these batteries are available just about everywhere.

just what i needed
I got this for a tent light/fan. I forgot to remove the batteries in the original before storing it and a couple of the batteries leaked, ruining the contacts. The battery holder has been discontinued and only a rechargeable replacement is available which was disappointing since it's easier to replace batteries than it is to recharge. The fan is great for camping because unlike similar fan/ lights, you can actually feel the wind from this one and it lasts all night.

Two Stars
I was disappointed there was no AC adapter for this product. I had to purchase a battery charger.
