Softbox Diffuser for Aputure 528/672 LED Video Lights

While these do work to soften light, they block the vents. And, much like the Death Star, the Aputure 672's weakness is its exhaust port. I had one fry itself after about 10 min of usage with this on.Buy and use if you want to end up with a $275 paperweight.

It's really difficult to get on to the light. And the padding around the sides of the light when shipped leaves a black imprint on the diffuse material. It doesn't display a pattern when throwing light through it at least. Still works. But not the best.

Works to soften light more than the bare light lens but not to a significant degree, which was to be expected. The way the diffuser attaches to the light could be improved. The diffuser tends to slip backwards and basically nullify the softening affect because it sits much too close to the light lens. I noticed a problem with overheating the light while using the softbox as well since it covers up all of the ventilation for the light. Because of that, I would not recommend using the softbox for any longer than 15-20min of continuous use without powering down the light and giving it ample time to exhaust the built up heat. You will ruin your light otherwise.

I used this for other LED fixtures and works well.

This is GREAT!!! It works to soften the harsh light and spread it. It hardly ever comes off my light...

I have six of the HR672 lights so I'm an expert at using them, but these soft boxes aren't the greatest. Granted they are really cheap but they don't fit properly and don't diffuse the light very well. A sheet of Roscoe 1/2 silk actually looks better than these.The way I got them to work was by taking Velcro strips and placing them on the light and softbox.I will say however that if you tape a 1/4 diffusion inside of this box, it'll create a much nicer look.

Poorly designed, could be so much easier to design a diffuser with similar materials that was easy to install, but instead is a time waster.

A good price, and it fits ok over my Aputure 672, but it slips the bevel around the light very easily, so it either falls off, or falls onto the LEDs. Maybe I'm not attaching it correctly, but unfortunately, there aren't any instructions. I supposed I can just get some velcro and attach it to the light and the softbox.
