Encyclopedia of KISS: Music, Personnel, Events and Related Subjects

A very complete encyclopedia of everything KISS. Even though I've been a fan for 38 years, I learned a lot of new facts about my favorite band.

Giving this 3 stars because of the sheer scope of the project, and I applaud the author for putting this together. However, it needed to be more carefully edited and fact-checked. The entry for Dimebag Darrell says he's one of the founding members of Anthrax, which is a pretty unforgivable error. That's just one example off the top of my head. There are several other minor ones that I've encountered so far. Also, an encyclopedia by definition should consist of solely facts. Too many entries include the personal opinion of the author, which I think is inappropriate for what this is supposed to be.

Pretty good un-official KISS book. I am mentioned several times. Only falsehood: "Starkey and company did indeed dress up like the band and visited WVTS." I never dressed up myself nor did I ever try the makeup. While a highly-driven crazy KISS fan in those early years it just never interested me to show my allegiance this way. Otherwise a good read for KISS fans.

Very informative. A must for any KISS fan!

This book is incredibly well-written and thorough in its examination of All Things KISS. Author Brett Weiss has been exhaustive in his research and includes wonderful photos of rare band merchandise, fanzines, and magazines from KISS' long history. Very well done!

Good fun read. If want to know about KISS in every detail, this is the encyclopedia for you. Super detailed and a great conversation piece:)

Got my Kindle version yesterday for my iPad. This encyclopedia of all things KISS provides detailed information on their songs, albums, tours, television and movie appearances, merchandise, solo work and much more is a GREAT resource for all KISS fans. Not to be missed.
