Pretty Great Results
This is my first project after briefly reading through the book. The information is bite sized and cleverly cheeky which makes it fun to read, but most importantly, it is thorough enough to produce happy results. There are so many examples throughout the book that I was able to piece together just what I wanted. The author describes beginner mistakes and pro tips, as well as educates the reader on the subject of Kawaii. I didn’t know there was a more realistic type of Kawaii. Apparently it’s called Moe. I was excited to see that Hart also included drawing instruction for this style.

Easy-to-follow illustrations and instructions on how to draw chibi characters
This is such a cute book on how to draw manga/chibis. I have always been fascinated with how the Japanese draw. My daughter is very good at drawing chibis and she learned it also from watching videos of tutorials. I want to have a style of my own and this book is perfect for newbies like myself. The book has cute illustrations too and easy to follow instructions. The author didn't make it too difficult for beginners like myself to learn how to draw chibi characters.I find this book really helpful.

My 7 yr old Niece Loves it!
My niece, who is 7, loves to draw, and loves cute things, like Pokemon. I bought this and looked it over before mailing it to her. Good quality, heavy book! It's full of cute and simple things perfect for my niece. Not disappointed at all.

Great book for what it is.
It definitely accomplishes its goal of teaching Manga technique. The book doesn't go into how to the technical of how to draw reference lines so that they wont be in the finished drawing. The book expects some level of skill already.I bought this for my daughter. She is getting into art, and its not something I have much experience in. The book provided enough for her to get going. Her drawings have grown by leaps and bounds using this product.

True Beginner's Manual
I've really enjoyed reading this very well written introduction to kawaii style manga. Christopher does a great job by guiding his readers through the basics of this style of drawing, making sure to highlight specific methods of making your character really adorable. Most useful in my opinion are multiple examples, where a particular character is being created starting from a rough outline sketch and finishing with a completed kawaii goodness in full colour.I find this particular style very easy to adopt and master, especially if your drawing skills are not yet developed - kawaii lets you enjoy the results very early in the process while you can keep working on developing your own style and getting more proficient in drawing in general. The only disappointment I found with this book was the last chapter, where Christopher promised to talk about how to succeed in the market for kawaii manga artists - the chapter is very short, scarce on details and abounds in general advice applicable to virtually any direction within the art of drawing manga (or so it seems to me). I guess, for everyone who really wants to succeed, he or she will have to find their own road to there.

Very helpful and inspiring!
My boys are into doodling, animals and Pokemon. This book was a great purchase because it has given the three of us something to enjoy together. Instead of TV or screen time, we sit at the kitchen table and chat while working on our drawing skills together. With the help of this book, I have expanded my personal cartoon abilities and am enjoying spending more quality time with my kids. I highly recommend this book, it's a helpful tool for beginner artists, advanced artists and every artist in between!

Super OMG Cute!!!
I think the description of this book on Amazon is lacking, as you can't even see inside the book. If I hadn't held it in my hands I would have never known how good a book this is. It's a guide to those ridiculously cute characters that you see everywhere. And it lends its self to computer animation perfectly - unlike most of Chris Hart's books, this one has each drawing colored in for you and he shows how to use the colors to make something painfully cute even cuter. Great book - just wish my 9 year old would let me see it once in a while...

Gran compra, excelente regalo.
Simplemente hermoso, muy completo, me sorprendió el grosor del libro, gran calidad, los textos vienen en inglés, pero con las ilustraciones basta.Fue un regalo para mi hija de 7 años, pero lo mismo sirve para cualquier edad.

Well-written and clear guidance for artists
Bought this for my daughter, who is nine. It seems to be very good for her, with clear examples, explanations of techniques and common mistakes, as well as general guidance. The art style might not be for everyone, but this looks like a good teaching guide for people who do like it.
