Juki 1-Needle, 3-Thread Overlock Machine MO-623

For the last five years, I have become a Juki-girl. I have purchased two sewing machines for travel and at home. I have started making facial masks to help combat the corona virus-19. I thought to have a serger will increase speed and neatness. So far Juki product has not disappointed. For the price and simplicity, I chose the MO-623. Great choice, out of the box ready, works like a workhorse, beautiful even stitches, cuts easily and straight. A winner all around. The best feature is that it is the quickest and easiest serger to thread. I am able to reach every area with just my fingers, no need for special tooling. I love it.

This is a wonderful overlock machine. I bought it just to overlock the edges of the seams on quilts. Works great! Very smooth action. Very fast, without being TOO fast. Comes fully threaded. Clear instruction book. I highly recommend it. No more raggedy quilt backsides. Nice compact size; spares the user all the "options" that other machines have, but I never, ever used. So simple to use! Just slide the fabric in and go.

I was scared to get a Serger, they all looked complicated to thread. I went with the reviews as to this one being easy. It took me about 20 minutes to thread, I went slow and tried to be precise. Amazingly it worked great no issues. Great price, very well made. Can't wait to use it more.

I have sewn all my life (I'm 62 and my grandmother taught me to make a skirt for my dolls when I was still sitting on her lap) but have never owned a serger. I bought an old used Bernina for $40 a few months ago - and although I know it's a good company, it was very difficult to thread and to troubleshoot. I was frustrated every time I attempted to use it. I finally did some research and looked for a basic beginner level serger. I chose this model. It was deliver two days after I ordered it (!) and after a short set-up, I was up and serging! Such a great machine. Solid, easy to use, beautiful stitches. I really didn't realize how much I'd enjoy the rolled hem capability, but it's just been amazing. Rolled hem is achieved by sliding a switch and quick adjustment on stich length! I've been making dress-up clothing for my granddaughter - princess dresses and such - and the ease of using this machine has been just a joy. Can't believe I waited so long to get a good serger - but I do believe this IS a GOOD serger!

Product arrived on time, works beautifully so far, and is sparkly new. Couldn't ask for a better machine. Received a great price and there was nothing wrong with it on arrival. It was packaged well, and wasn't damaged at all. We have high hopes that it won't break down but this brand is top-notch in quality and build. Our only concern was the shipping/packing process but those fears have been laid to rest.

In most ways, this is a great little machine. I had hoped to get a lot of use out of it. Unfortunately, however, the lower looper (which is metal) broke in half during use. [Seriously?!] I bought a new looper, but cannot access the screw in order to take out the old one and install the new one; another part of the machine is in the way. I hate to take it to a repair shop where it will cost almost $100 for something that I could do myself, if I could only get at that screw. I do not want to invest in a machine that broke so soon after purchase, in case it's just a lemon.

I use fashion school industrial sergers, but wanted a serger for the home use. Bought another well-known brand at first because it was an easy local delivery but it was so clunky, I’d rather serve by hand. This serger has just blown my mind! It is very easy to use, it has a great instructional manual that doesn’t leave room for guessing, machine feels extraordinary well-made where all parts can be opened to access difficult to thread areas, it is fast, but most of all, I’m wowed with the incredible quality of stitching. Highly recommend even if you need to bring it cross-border with duties and taxes. It is totally worth it.

The Juki serger was packed very well for international delivery. This 1 needle 3 threads serger model MO 623N is portable, easy to thread, looks cute and makes sewing projects so much more professional. A very good investment.
