I thought this was a plastic unit, NOPE, it is aluminum and brass, with only the plastic cones.
I am impressed with this. The main tube and slider collars are aluminum, heck, it might even be stainless steal? It works well. The small brass thumb locking pin that keeps the tube in place in the unit that you are cleaning, does seem a little simple and cheaply made, but, it is still solid in the threads. I am glad I didn't buy the other unit, as per the costs, as this unit is way cheaper in cost then the orange unit by 3 to 4 times. I am not saying the orange unit is bad, but it factually is more costly. even if this cheaper unit fails in 10 years, I can buy another one and still come out ahead...

Not for 22lr
This looks like a very good unit for calibers with a bottle type case.Tried is on a 22LR and the plastic end got stuck. I cut it out. Operator err on my part. Which the description gave a minimum size to use it on.Will look for a smaller one for my purpose. If I find a smaller one like this one I will buy it.

Made like crap, Save your money UPDATE WARNING
UPDATE: Because the plastic ends are too small, solvent will leak into your action. Thankfully I first used it on an AR and not a glass bedded action.First of all, like the photo shows, the plastic solvent port has a jagged ridge in in the middle of it that acts like a squeegee to your patch. You have to drill this out because it is so poorly manufactured. Secondly, the different chamber adapters are all too big in diameter, or the shaft is too small, for the ends to stay on the guide. When you pull the guide out of the weapon, the chamber adapter stay in the chamber. I have to carefully use a set of hemostats to pull it out. Save your money. Shooter's choice used to make quality items but not any more.

Works Perfectly!
I use it regularly to clean my 5.56 AR, .300 WM and .22LR. Has tips that fit each bore perfectly and an adaptor for the AR receiver. I recommend.

Will not fit one of the most common, benchmark actions out there (Rem 700 ADL)
The bore guide itself works ok if you have it set up correctly. Unfortunately, the small collar will not fit through a large boltface Rem700 ADL action. The collar measures .7125" and the bolt measures .6955". The channel where the bolt enters is a small amount larger than the bolt, but not large enough to accept the small collar. You might be able to still use the guide by holding it while using a cleaning rod but then it wouldn't be centered, thus defeating the purpose of the guide.

I found I really don't use it much..
With the stock I have it makes it difficult to use and can't go in from chamber side when this is installed as the rod won't clean the cheek rest. With it out, rod clears or I just go in through muzzle end.
