Nature's Recipe Adult Dry Dog Food

Firstly, my dog loves this food. He's very healthy and shiney cost, great teeth etc. But... What the heck with the pricing?? It used to be $10.99 for the 15 lb bag which was fantastic. Great food for a great price. Now every time I buy it, the price goes up. $12.99....$13.64....Now $28 for a15 lb bag?? So ridiculous. I guess I need to search for a new food. Stinks because my dog really likes this.

I BUY THIS FOOD FOR 2 YEARS NOW, AND NEVER MY DOG GET SICK. I BUY 2 BAGS OF "LAMB MEAL AND RICE", AND MY DOG EATING LIKE ALWAYS VERY GOOD, HE LIKE IT. BUT I NOTICE, AFTER MY DOG FINISH EATING, RUNING TO THE BACK YARD, DESESPERATE TO DO POOH. WHEN I SAW THE STOOL, WAS DIARREAH WITH BLOOD. I CALL MY VET., NOW I NEED WAIT UNTIL MARCH 4, TO BRING MY SWEET DOGIE TO GET CHECK.I FEED MY DOG A BLEND DIET, LIKE A VET. TELL ME FOR 4 DAYS; BOIL WHITE RICE, SWEET POTATOES AND BOIL CHICKEN, PLAIN. MY DOG START POOPING HARDER, AND I WAS THINKING HES BETTER. BUT AFTER 4 DAYS OF THE DIET, MY DOG STILL GOING DESEPERATE AFTER EATING TO DO POOH , AND IS SOFT WITH BLOOD AGAIN. I STOP BUYING THIS FOOD, 100% I KNOW WAS THE FOOD, BECAUSE HE DONT EAT NOTHING ELSE, ONLY DRY DOG FOOD( NATURAL RECIPIE). I HAVE MY DOG FOR 3 TO 4 YEARS NOW, AND NEVER, EVER GET SICK LIKE THIS. BEWARE TO EVERYONE IN AMAZON, STOP BUYING THIS FOOD, WE DONT WANT WE ARE POOR PETS GETTING SICK AND CAN DIE. MAYBE A BAD BACH, HOW KNOWS. CHEF D

We had a French bulldog that had every allergy and couldn't not find much relief. We tried Science Diet formula ZD (crazy expensive,) bulldog specific formulas, several organic foods, and I even tried making homemade dog food :/! We arnt rich and need something that would maintain his condition and not make it worse. We bought this and it was a good pick! He was on lots of medications but this didn't flare him up and make him too itchy or anything. We also put our German shepherd mix on it and he did good too. They had normal bowel movements- not overly toxic smelling and not runny. i feel like it's a great overall dog food for the price. I switched my cats to the cat formula as well. My bulldog did die :( but he lived 13yrs with miserable health for 11 of them and he loved eating this. Our German shepherd mix is a picky one and loves it too. It also seems to quench their hunger. Been buying it for over 2 years.

My dogs seem to really like this food. Although I don't think they have ever turned their noses up at anything. But I chose this brand based on what I felt was a higher quality compared to the other dry food I used to buy. Its a little pricy for me but I do it hoping that they will be healthier and long happy life. I also want less vet expenses as I have 5 pets. Since trips to the vet can be super expensive I try every way possible to be proactive in keeping all my pets in good health. Feeding them good quality food makes sense. Just like a car that is maintained well , it last longer. Less trips to the mechanics. Feed your fur kids good food and take care of them. They give you so much love in return.

I have a 10 year old Labrador, whom i spent probably the first 3-4 years of his life trying to figure out and deal with terrible skin allergies. I finally started him on Nature's Recipe Lamb and Rice and have kept it on him ever since! No matter what other types of dry kibble I try, he starts itching again almost immediately, put him back on the NR L&R and the issue resolves. Please keep this is stock forever!! :)

This food solved some ongoing allergy problems in my dogs.... I went Nature's Recipe for a few reasons1- they never source from China, everything is USA, so I don't have to worry about things like the scare over poisonous Chinese protein that happened a few years back,,,2- no by products... this is the only brand I've found that doesn't have a meat by product meal (by product means beaks, hooves, intestines and a long list of stuff that I would never feed to any animal, and has some proven harmful effects)3- no corn or wheat... a lot of dogs become allergic to corn and wheat over tie causing all kinds of health problems... this is the only allergy food that Ive ever found that had no wheat or corn...Great product

My dog loves this stuff. She is a standard Goldendoodle pup. 6 months. I have tried at least 5 different brands/flavors.She truly loves this one. It’s the only one that I have not had to dress up for her to eat. For me that’s a WIN!The price is midrange but it makes my life easier. Amazon has great sales, so I order it when the price goes down and it’s a steal.

Jake; an 81lb 6yr old Retriever/Shepherd rescued by me to aid in dealing with my PTSD as recommended by my VA counselor; turned out to have been abused terribly, by all indications, has PTSD as well. We do understand each other, except for chow time. Whereas I'll eat whatever is on the table, Jake is a very picky eater; and not just kibble. I could go on, but point is that as soon as I opened the bag; his interest level took off, and it's evident that he really enjoys this food. The cherry 🍒 on top is the tremendous list of ingredients, which are healthy and one of the best I've seen.
