FUN delivery: Frickin' Cricket Hidden Annoying Chirping Joke Gag Prank Sound

First off, let me say this exceeded my expectations. I got this for an April fools prank and placed it under my bosses desk. I assumed he would find it after a day or two. Nope. I was wrong. The first people to notice it was everyone in the office. They started blaming each other’s computer, phone, etc on the noise. I then expected the battery to die after 3-4 days as stated, especially since I received it turned on from Amazon. Wrong again. First week goes by and still chirping loudly. My boss thinks it’s coming from his ceiling and tells one of the maintenance guys to get a ladder and find it up there and get rid of it. But guess what. Nothing there. I’m thinking he’s bound to find it eventually. Second week goes by and the device is still just as loud annoying the crap out of everyone in the office. Everyone blaming everyone for it but nobody can find it. I keep thinking it was going to die everyday and everyday I hear the chirp, I’d get a good laugh. 19 days later, the battery finally dies and nobody found it. I’m too deep into this now to reveal it was me.

My boss likes to prank everyone and thrives on not being able to get got….until today! For his birthday, all of us ladies in the office chipped in and purchased this incredible little device. We put it inside the ceiling tiles. My only regret was not having the ability to record him trying to find this cricket. Best money ever spent!!

I have bought 3 of these and two of them have never worked! Then I go to get it replaced or a refund and it wants me to send it back which means I need to spend $10 in gas to go to a UPS store rather than just replacing it or giving me credit.

It is definitely loud and honestly sounds like the cricket ringtone on iPhone or something. Saw some reviews mention tape so I might sneak some of that on there, cause it is pretty easy to tell where it is coming from. 4 stars because it has and is still causing a lot of confusion. Also there are 3 packs for the same price that are smaller. I am happy with this though - don’t think it matters which one to get, the enjoyment you will get is all the same

It was ok but because the chirps were exactly 11 minutes apart it was easy to tell it was fact and the prank was up. It kept using the exact same sound as well

I put this in my manager's office while he was on vacation. Battery was supposed to last about 3 days, 4 weeks now and it's still chirping. He still hasn't found it yet.

I think this is slightly overpriced & should be closer to $6 or two diff sounding devices for $11. I had a blast using this to trick co workers. Only recommendations I have for the user is that you should remove it after a day then install again a few days later.. 2 days in a row & it's obvious it's an electronic device. Suggest to the manufacturer that you write the code so it plays back on a more random schedule. A few more lines of code could use the same noises but make the timing be different for an 8 hr period of time. The repetitive 5 -10 minutes allows the user to think it's electronic.

Great little prank. I think I'll get more and increase the cricket population in the victim's office. Lol

Works exactly as intended. Perfect volume for it to be realistic.I've seen others say it sounds like a bird. Which certainly may be true for someone who's never seen a bird or a cricket before.Has 3m tape on the back for more hiding opportunities. I'm thinking like, underneath the couch, stuck to the bottom so even if they look under, they won't see anything on the floor. Maybe behind a picture frame.

Purchased this to hide in my parents room and drive them nuts. It's working! They have been researching hair brained ideas on how to catch a cricket!! The only downfall is to change the battery, you have to rip it open but it doesn't changed its effectiveness.

It says it's supposed to last 3-4 days but mine kept going for 3-4 weeks. Would have made it longer but the prankee found it and smashed it after most of week 3 lol 😂Also find out if your target kept lizard pets when they were younger, I found out after the fact that they hated crickets so this was super effective!

I own the 3 pack of Annoy-A-Trons and used them at my work to torment my staff. Talk about a good time.They figured it out and are now familiar with all the sounds so I decided to order this cricket one.First off, this does not sound like a cricket at all. It sounds like a bird, the kind of bird that would eat crickets. Even after opening it and turning it in my wife asked if i heard a bird in the house.I looked to see if a bird sound was offered by this company but they dont leaving me to wonder how this happened.I should have gone for the smoke detector one, how could you screw up that sound.
