Stratux GPYes 2.0 External Antenna

I added this external gpyes as an option to the internal one I had put in on my self built Stratux. My internal was giving me in the range of 10 to 20+ meters tested but not in direct view. I am sure I would do better if I had placed it under the canopy of the 172 but I wasn't flying and just testing from the back seat. I added the external and tested it yesterday from the back seat again and it was getting 3 to 10 meters consistently. Now I have the option to quickly clip on the external Gpyes one.

Missing the pigtail. Will update once I receive my replacement althoughreading other reviews there is a chance it’ll be missing again.

I have the original GPYes and there isn't a place to plug in the antenna (you need the GPYes 2.0). I waited to long and now I can't return the antenna and I have no use for it. No big deal just be sure you can use it before you order. I am giving five stars because I have been happy with my Stratux and it's my own fault for not checking.

I ordered this and it was missing the pigtail. I thought it was a fluke so I returned that and ordered another. It was also missing the pigtail, which you need to connect the GPYes card to the antenna. So, don't buy this until that is resolved!

Internally the wires separated.

Works perfectly even indoors near a window. I put together an ADS-B receiver with an aluminum case and the case completely blocked the internal antenna. This external antenna solved that problem plus gave me more flexibility with where I can mount the receiver and position the antenna with a clear view to the sky.

This was exactly the item that I needed for my project. Very happy with this item.

Works very well.

With the external antenna GPS accuracy is 5 m. Much better than the 25m with the internal antenna.

Delivered without the adapter clearly shown in photo ... so no way to interface to Stratux unit
