Crescent15" Adjustable Tapered Handle Wrench MUSA - Carded - AC115

I can't tell if this was made in USA or not. Unlike the photo, the handle is not stamped with U.S.A. Also, the jaws were uneven, with over 3/32" of gap between the left and right side of the jaws (opposing sides). I corrected this with a file. Purchased a Proto (USA Made and Stamped on Handle) as well, fit and finish was MUCH better. Just guessing, this is the same model made in China, with a different label.

On rare occasions I need a wrench for a large nut. The biggest thing I have in open end/box end wrenches is about 1 3/16. I decided to just get a large adjustable wrench rather than buying several expensive open end/box end wrenches. This one opens up to over 1 1/2 inches - 1 11/16 if I remember correctly. Anyway large enough so that next time I'm tighening a trailer hitch ball I won't have to use a pipe or chain wrench on it. It's well made, easily adjustable and solid. And it is a Crescent brand made in the USA and that matters to me.

Adjustment mechanism is smooth and tight in clearance. The finish is also nice. Bottom line... it is a good solid wrench at a great price.

This thing is great. My husband is happy to have it in his collection. It's mighty hefty! If he can't turn something with this, he can always just beat the mess out of it.

This thing is a beast, well built and burly. I like how the handle tapers so you can easily fit a pipe over it for those super tight nuts or fittings.
