I am a klutz. Last week I purchased my iPad Air and needed a case. My friend had an extra Smart Case from Apple which I tried. That case was too smooth for me and did not feel like it would offer much drop protection.My coworkers said get an Otterbox for the iPad. Honestly the prices for an Otterbox were too high for me. Then I saw this one and bought based on looks and price.I am NOT DISSAPOINTED. The inner layer is flexible and looks like it will absorb shocks from when I drop it. The hard layer is like a turtle shell. It is easy to grip and the built in kickstand is a plus. I don't know how well it will withstand dropping but as I find out I will revise my post.The only protection it is lacking is a front cover for the inevitable times I will drop my iPod Air and it will land face down.**Added 10/23/14**The kick stand has a tendency to fall off at times. The upper right corner of the hard shell is broken. But it still protects like a boss!

This is a great cover but I would have liked a screen protector attached to this case like an Otterbox. The case fits so securely that I cannot put my screen protector on and use the case so an attached screen protector would make this case perfect. The kickstand is awesome and other than the lack of a screen protector, this is a 5-star product for the price, IMO.Addendum: Have been using the case for approximately a month now and still think it's great.

I could complain about the fact that I wish the plastic was a bit grippier ( it's kind of hard, not soft and rubbery like I was hoping) but instead I will say that this is the best $3.99 ipad case you can get.I would probably like an otter box better - but it costs 20 times what this cost.

This case is fairly good, but not perfect. However, for the money, I still feel it's a good deal. I purchased this because, at the time, there were very few options for the new iPad Air. While I haven't dropped the iPad to-date, I doubt this will provide much more protection than most cases. It would also be nice if they integrated a screen cover or something.

Like the kickstand and 2 layer protection. I wish the material was more skid-resistant so that it wouldn't slide around or off a table so easily. Anything is better than paying $80 for Apple's Smart Case IMO.

Color is different than post on the web, .if you expecting something light won't be your choice,the cover is solid and heavy,good to protect your iPad
