ORIGINAL ITALIAN PRODUCT
It works very well and about bad reviews I can say they are not expert about this Moka , I am Italian and for many years I use this Moka , therefore they before to write bad reiews need to learn how to use this Moka ,and regarding the photos of the burnt handle of the Moka I can say that they put the moka over a very high flame and then they burned the handle, the coffee must be made with low flame, slowly, slowly. The Moka is original Italian Product , I am 51 years old and I am Italian .This Moka is excellent.

Honestly? The best way to make italian espresso!
I'm italian and so I have a love for Bialetti. In my family we've been using this product since forever, like every family in Italy. So, if you really want to experience and taste true italian coffee, the way italian people make it at home... this moka is the best way to do it.I recenlty moved to London from Italy so I had to buy one for my new home because my mom forbade me from bringing the one we use at home in italy (which is exactly the same as this one)! She's been using it for decades and I think she has feelings for it ashah.About the product itself: it's super easy to use it, cleans very well and can make 2 perfect espressos!!!Also, I suggest you use it with Lavazza coffee if you're really in for an italian experience!

Good with practice
I have numerous sizes of these pots and each had served well. Many reviews I have read seem to be from people who do not quite understand how to properly use one.Do not use the handle to tighten the thread, use a low heat and remove the pot from the heat as soon as it starts to gurgle and cool the lower half with water to stop brewing.Pre-boiled water prevents over heating of the grounds so is recommended. And wash the pot after each use. I found using soap leaves a strange taste, possibly due to the soap stripping the oxidised layer of aluminium, so I just wash as normal sans soap.My only gripe and advice to others is the provided gasket isn't the best, there are many cheap third party gaskets which do a better jobs.

A lockdown essential
Not sure I could have made it through this period without this little guy. I bought the larger version and quickly realised that unless I was making coffee for two people it was too big. You cannot simply put less water/coffee into it and make a smaller coffee - the pressure won't be right and it won't work properly. So I bought my little 'personal' Moka Express and I couldn't be happier.TIPS:Really important to use a tea-towel to help you screw the top on very tightly - otherwise you will find water escaping from the middle. This guy works on pressure so needs to be very secure to work.I also use a silicon mat on my work-surface to put it on so that the boiling hot base doesn't do any damage. If you're in the same room whilst it's boiling (I put it on a low flame on the smallest ring on my gas hob) you know its ready because you can hear it spitting inside. I use the Bialetti 'Tuttocrema' manual frother for my milk - I put it on a different gas ring at the same time to heat the milk and the two are ready within about 2 minutes of heating.

Classic
The classic. You can’t go wrong.I notice a lot of my English friends buy moka pots that are way, way too big for their intended use. They’ll buy one of the huge models and then try to make less coffee with it. For solo, or one / two people, buy the small moka pot instead of using some huge pot.If you buy a small one you might need to buy a little metal support thing that keeps it above the gas ring. It depends on your stove design. They only cost £2-3.

It’s not like the old and original Bialetti .
It’s not like the original Bialetti .The one that my grandma or my parents use to male coffe with .That was indestructible. Now this one , after couple of years (I know it’s sound silly..after a Couple of years ,nowdays ) already the Handle broke .Also the chrome on the moka changed , it lost is shine .The Bialetti Moka used to last decades , it was part of the family ...you would have to change only the rubber parts. After this one I bough a bigger one , that after few usage started to leave a strange bluish liquid on your hands of wet , even after lots of rinse ! (Never washed the pot with soap)

For gas cookers only
You can't really use this on an electric cooker, you need to raise this up, and it doesn't come with anything. When the coffee comes up through the spout inside the pot its not clean coffee that I was expecting, the same coffee you would have using a poor filter with ground coffee, so not happy with this pot. So I used it twice, not its unused because I have to filter the coffee afterwards, and what's the point in that ?

You need to get used to this one
A nice and practical coffee maker with a few design issues. Although they say it is for 2, it uses more ground coffee than my previous coffee maker (also for 2). If the water is set precisely but the heat is set too high (you will have to experiment with it to find out), it spills the coffee out on the top. If you open the lid in the middle of making the coffee to check wether it is done, it spills a little coffee out at the back. You definitely need to “learn” it’s own way of making coffee with it but once you are through that, it makes a decent one.
