Oh, so fun and easy!
I bought two of these. One for my dad, because when their butter is from the fridge, he cuts off humungous slabs of it to cover his toast, and I thought this might give him both the ease of getting to the cold butter, along with the illusion that he's getting more than he is! ;-) When I found it, though, I immediately wanted one for myself as well! I usually buy whipped butter, and this is a similar idea, and though an expense up-front, will ultimately save me money on butter. When they arrived, I immediately washed mine and dried it. I waited a couple of days, and then sliced a big fat chunk from the uncut pound of butter I had bought for this purpose. The piece I cut was probably about half again as big as a regular stick of butter. I put it in the grater, and put the whole thing in the fridge. It's been there for 2-3 days, now.I just took it out and grated my butter onto some french bread. It was great! A totally delightful experience. It EASILY cut through the cold, hardened butter, and it pouffed up into a big, curly, buttery mop like a doll that "grows" hair! It was so fun.It IS a little bit big for my hands (I'm a woman with medium-sized hands), but not so big that I can't use it. Also, after using it for a few minutes, and getting some butter on my finger, it became harder to use because it was oily. I wrapped a paper towel around it, and no more problem. In both cases, though, it will just take some getting used to.So for the negative reviews that said it doesn't cut through butter? I don't know what they're talking about. I don't know what they got, but mine worked perfectly.I'm only withholding a star in part because it could stand to be a hair smaller, and also because even though the price has dropped by over half (!!!) since I first started watching it, it's still pretty pricey at $25.90. (Yes, it was over $50 when I first discovered it!)I will update after my dad has had a chance to use his (sometime after Father's Day), and perhaps also if my own experiences with it change enough that I feel compelled to edit. For the record, if you're curious, the color is bright orange, not pink. I don't know what's with that picture. I will probably update with a picture of my own at some point.

Just no, don't waist your money
Hard to use. Lots of waisted butter left in the devise. I don't use a traditional sized butter so I had to cut my butter to fit. I would love to return it and get my money back but it's after the 30 days per the company.
