Got the boat up on plane much quicker! Easy install.

I have a Mercury Pro XS 225 HP motor. Ad say's this product fits ALL 4 to 300 HP outboard motors, it does not.

Looks like good product, but do drill I’m a mechanic and this would fall off, any other of the mount methods and I had to modify a little for my mercury 40 4stroke motor as in the photos - don’t block the screeen !! Had to cut V notch in red plastic . I hope this helps for someone in decision making of this product.

I installed (no drill) this on a 75Hp 4-Stroke Mercury on a bass fishing boat. On this engine, I had to first remove the torque tab at the bottom of the lower unit. Based on a recommendation, I put duct tape on the anti-cavitation plate. This did not work; the tape made it too tight to put the Hyperfoil fully on. After removing the tape, I was able to install it. I did put Loctite on the two set screws and the bolt holding the torque tab on. I took the boat out and it planed way earlier than before. Very smooth. I had the boat cranked up to 45mph with no problem. Note that if you have a torque tab, it is impossible to lose the Hyperfoil.UPDATE (One Year Later): I thought it was impossible to lose this thing but I was wrong. I was fishing in New Hampshire and it somehow was ripped off the lower unit. Of course it is now gone. I may buy another one in the future but my recommendation is to DRILL!

Placed the fin on n set the set screws on cavitation plate as per instructions!! 1st trip to the lake, within 1st 10 minutes of use it was gone!!!! Poor design!! 55 dollars wasted! Will never buy this product again to say the least!!

Worked great for about 5 minutes, do not used the No Drill method of installation!Drill and bolt it or it will fall off . Installed on 225 Mercury ... set screws couldn’t handle the high speeds !

FIRST, I WOULD LIKE TO SAY I HAVE HAD THESE ON OTHER MOTORS AND THEY WORK FANTASTIC. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS DESIGN IS THAT IT WILL NOT FIT ON THE THICKER FINS OF THE 2023 MERCURY 200 HP XPS THAT I JUST PURCHASED. THE GAP IS NOT OPEN ENOUGH TO SLIDE ON FARTHER THAN A COUPLE INCHES. ALSO, THE ONE I GOT HAD BEEN RETURNED AND SOMEONE TOOK THE THREAD LOCK. WILL JUST LIVE WITH THE ENGINE AS IT IS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO DRILL HOLES.

I was very sad, I loved this product and how it looked on my boat but I went out for the first time today and when I return to the dock, it was goneThe product just cannot handle the torque of my larger engine without having used the screws. I trusted this product as it advertised a whole list install, but that is simply not the case as result I am out the product and very sad.

Ehrlich gesagt bin ich recht entäuscht. Auf der Suche nach einem Hydrofoil, bei dem nicht in die Antigravitationsplatte gebohrt werden muss, der Markt ist da tatsächlich recht dünn besetzt, es gibt gerade mal zwei Hersteller in dem Bereich, was dass angeht, wirbt Stingray bei ihren Artikeln mit High Performance und einer hohen Produkt Qualität. Das möchte ich dem Unternehmen auch nicht absprechen, aber bei der ganzen Flexibilität für die große breite an Modellen von Aussenbordmotoren geht doch so einiges zu lasten der Passgenauigkeit verloren, ist auch irgend wie verständlich. Aber dann sollte man klar sagen, passt nur bei bestimmten Modellen, Punkt. Irgend wie habe ich das gefühl die Hersteller, bei dem anderen war es leider ähnlich, haben bei der Klasse 9 - 20 PS nur die Daumen links rechts Methode angewandt, passt schon..... und nicht wirklich geschaut ob das Teil das auch wirklich tut.Da man an dem Foil für kleinere Motoren einen kleinen Steg raus sägen muss, und die erkenntniss ob er passt, erst dann erlangt werden kann, konnte ich das Teil leider nicht mehr zurücksenden.Schade, dass war ein teurer Spaß für Nada....

It broke and i lost it in the water at the first ride. Not impressed. That one way to loose 150,00 fast.Was install to spec.
