Just perfect for sketches and tracings, works great used with a lightbox, too because it’s thinness is easier for light to come thru. Perfect for quilting by drawing on this with a fabric marker, pinning to your fabric, then stitching right on top because it tears away leaving no paper residue (and short stitch length will even tear it away as you stitch). You must use a true quilt marking marker on this paper if planning to stitch thru this because the needle will transfer anything else onto the fabric. I did a test using a colored pencil on this paper, pinned it to my fabric, stitched along the lines and noticed the stitch lines contained colored pencil in the stitching and thread!! And that will not wash out.I have even used this to draw large designs, cut those out and pinned to my quilt top, then traced around them and then removed the paper and quilted.Terrific product! Love all the sizes.

I am using this for copying free motion quilting

I use this paper for machine quilting. I trace the designs and pin or tape them to the quilt and stitch through the paper and tear it away, Yes, you can use copy paper or tissue paper and I have used both in the past. The Golden Threads performs much better than either of them. It tears away easily and cleanly (no need to pick out tiny bits of paper with tweezers) and, most importantly, no pulled stitches!

I was able to quilt a design that I loved but didn’t think I could do it. Turned out beautiful!
