Good performer
We initially purchased a much cheaper inverter.. slightly lower output capability, but less than 1/3 the cost. Our installation was in a vehicle bed in a warm climate powering an approx. 1200 watt load for equipment testing. The cheaper unit overheated in less than an hour and went through thermal shutdown. I purchased this unit and went back out to the same location, with a similar temperature and load. The AIMS Power unit worked consistently for two full days... lesson learned. If you need a simple inverter that will be in a temperature-controlled environment, perhaps a less robust unit will work for you and you can save a few dollars. But if you need a solid performed under less than ideal conditions, this device is industrial strength and is priced accordingly. Highly recommended.

So far it has been depenable
I have a cabin in an off-grid setting, I built a solar system using this inverter as the output to the cabin. it has been running for about 18 months without issue. it's not loud, doesn't seem to get hot, and it runs anything so far I tried to use, including power saws, refrigerators, freezers, and microwave ovens. The only thing I wish it had was a built-in charger. but I am happy with my purchase, I cant say anything about service from Aims because I have had no issues.

Good clean power!
We bought this to replace a modified sine wave inverter that was already in the house we recently bought. Several appliances were acting up and not functioning properly. We replaced that 5K MSW with this AIMS 5K PSW and all our problems went away! Very pleased so far!

Update
The fans on this never turn on. This inverter becomes very hot which is a possible fire hazard. Had to discontinue use. I will be trying to replace or refund as this inverter is not even 6 months old.UPDATE: They replaced the inverter and it has been working well. Upgrading to 4 stars. Good job AIMS.

Great Product
This inverter is awesome. It can run a lot. Right now i'm running my 58" tv, my really old amp, computer (desk top), two big fans, 3 lights and my subwoofer and the fans haven't even kicked in yet. This inverter is also going to be running my fridge and two freezers soon. Great product, I would recommend.
