Excellent value bundle (lens cap and screen protector) for Lumix LX100!
The Fotasy LX100K Auto Self-Retaining Lens Cap bundled with two LCD screen protectors and a lens wipe/cloth is an EXCELLENT value. At only $17, it is considerably cheaper than the OEM Panasonic lens cap ($40!)--better yet, for that price it also includes two good-quality screen protectors and a lens cloth! The cap mounts securely on the LX100 and operates exactly as it should. Unlike the Panasonic cap, you can also squeeze a slim-profile lens filter underneath this cap and it will still be able to close. I don't use a UV/skylight filter on my camera the way some folks do for protection (in my mind, that's what the lens cap is for); however, I do use neutral density (ND) filters on my camera in bright sunlight so that I can shoot pictures and video at optimal settings for sharpness and shutter/frame rate. You only need one screen protector, but it's nice that this set includes a spare in case you don't get it positioned right on the first try. I found that the screen protector has very good transparency; it just disappears, as it should, and I had no trouble with air bubbles (of course, you need to apply it with proper technique, gradually working from one edge to the other as you remove the backing and press it into place). What more can I say? It works and it's priced at a great value! Highly recommended!

Works with OEM Leica UV filter for D Lux 7
I bought this set after reading that you couldn’t use the Leica automatic lens cap with filters. I was a little worried about the lens quality so I didn’t even try to put this on until now, several months after purchase. It works with the included filter flawlessly, however I bought the Leica branded UV filter when I bought my camera and hadn’t unboxed it yet. Much to my utter surprise- this auto lens cap fits over the Leica branded UV filter with ZERO issues whatsoever as well! I’m so happy that I have all Leica glass AND an automatic lens cap. YAY!

Good product for a great price
I lost the original Panasonic lens cap for this camera, so I looked for a replacement and bought this kit that included the lens cap and UV filter. The lens cap looks good and fits perfectly, with a satisfying "click" when it locks into place. The UV filter screwed on easily and fits under the cap with no trouble. Although I can't say that I've seen any difference in my pictures/videos with the UV filter in place, I like the idea of having something in front of the camera's lens to protect it. After all, if the Panasonic LX100's lens gets scratched, it's a permanently attached lens. That will ruin the camera, and this is a pricey camera. For the price of $17 or so, this is a good product at a great price.

Lens cap works exactly as advertised, but be advised the 43mm MRC Nano MC UV Filter is Chinese, not from Japan as pictured.

Very Good Auto-Lens Cap for Panasonic Lumix LX100m2
I purchased this JJC Auto-Lens Cap for my Lumix LX100m2.Actually those who used LX100 said that the Genuine Panasonic Auto-Lens Cap does not allow installation of ordinary lens filters with usual thickness. They told that the only one ultra-slim lens filter which can be used along with the genuine Panasonic Auto-Lens Cap was the Cokin Pure Harmonie 43mm Multicoated UV lens filter, which had known to be discontinued from the manufacturer. It was impossible for me to purchase the Cokin Pure Harmonie lens filter at my local shop. So I tried to purchase 2 other ultra-slim lens filter from Amazon US - i.e. the JJC ultra-slim lens filter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0744HGGPY) and YSDIGI ultra-slim lens filter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0765RPCBG). But none can be installed without having the lens cap partially open after turning off the power. So I purchased this JJC auto-lens cap for Panasonic Lumix LX100 and LX100m2. And I can use conventional 43mm B + W lens filters with it. One more merit of this auto-lens cap over the genuine Panasonic auto-lens cap is that JJC auto-lens cap has little gap when fully closed. The Panasonic auto-lens cap had slightly larger gap between the blades and it had also gaps around 6 hinges, which may mean that there would be greater possibility for dust or pollutants to go inside the lens cap.In the bottom line, this JJC auto-lens cap is slightly less expensive and has slightly lesser gap when closed. But, in the long run, I decided to use the genuine Panasonic manual lens cap with the genuine lens cap string. The reason for this was due to the fact that the auto-lens cap could be closed only after several minutes of use or only after power-off. I hated to let the lens cap open during that time. So I personally preferred to put the lens cap whenever I'd like to protect the lens filter. Anyway, if you want to use auto-lens cap, this JJC auto-lens cap may be a good choice for you.Picture 1 : JJC auto-lens cap is on the left, while genuine Panasonic autolens cap is on the right. JJC auto-lens cap has slightly narrower gap between the blades.Picture 2 : I could modify the Panasonic auto-lens cap using the routine black insulation tape to make the gap between the blades and the gap around hinges narrower. But I finally decided to use the manual lens cap.

Does Not Fit My Leica D-Lux 7
This lens cap is supposed to fit dlux 7 and lx100. It is about a quarter inch too large to fit the lens! There is no way it will. Work. I would retern it it but for the price I’m not going to hassle with it.

Good quality but frustrating
A lens hood for such a wide zoom range is always a challenge but this design is good. It is also very sturdy. If I have an issue (and I do) it is nearly impossible to remove the lend cap. The amount of space between the hood and the cap release button is tiny and no adult-size hand can do it quickly.Design tip for the new evolution: design a cap with a extended front-mounted release and include it with the hood.

Works as described.
Using it for a Leica D-Lux 8. Great replacement for the stock lens cap and is much cheaper than the Leica branded version.

Highly Functional and Better Than Original!
This is one extremely rare case where the third-party product is better than the brand-name one! The caps works similarly , opening and closing automatically without issue as the camera is turned on and off. While not completely air-tight, the petals close better and let little dust in. They also close completely with a filter in place which is a huge benefit.

Mejor que la original.
Excelente diseño, acomoda un filtro protector UV en la rosca del lente y la bisagra inferior permite establilizar la cámara en una mesa o superficie plana. Desde luego el precio es mejor que el del artículo OEM.

Just what I was looking for.
Extremely good quality at a very low price. I fitted it in front of a UV filter and it does not vignette at any focal length. The front conveniently takes a 58mm lens cap so it can stay on the camera at all times.
