Not too hard to assemble and comes with software to create files for printing
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This 3D printer arrives in a box with the parts labeled and an SD card with an assembly video. The printed instructions help tremendously with understanding which pieces go where. The video is a must if you are unsure of how to place things sonit will run smoothly. It took me a couple of hours over two evenings to complete the assembly and leveling. It is very important to get the z axis placed correctly do the nozzle doesn’t grind into the plate. The filament heats up as it goes through the extruded and forms the design on the plate. I was able to download .stl files from thingiverse, open the cura software in the SD card and easily convert them to the gcode file needed to program the 3D printer. So far I have tested two different files with it and they didn’t turn out perfect, but the gist of it was there. I’m glad it came with filament to test it out first. I’m excited to make some more plastic figures and things.

My first 3d printer, excellent results!
This is my first 3d printer which means I had zero experience with the technology. I bought this particular one because it had good reviews and it was discounted on prime-day. In summary the experience has been positive even for a noob like me.Assembly:Like other reviewers I missed the fact that there was a video detailing the assembly process in the included SD Card. The packaging had a sticker on the outside that was meant to refer us to the SD Card but it said something like: "Before powering on, check SD Card" I am paraphrasing, but that was the gist of it, which of course means check the SD Card after finishing the assembly, not before. So I used the printed instructions which were well made, with simple steps that clearly indicate the parts needed. The parts also come packaged in separate bags with clear labels identifying them. Some drawings were small but using a magnifying glass fixed that. Assembly is simple enough because the main body comes assembled you only have to add the z-axis, x-axis and the extruder parts. Watching the video would have made it a breeze.Software:Here things were a little bit confusing, there are several slicer programs included in the SD Card all based on Cura. All of them were older versions. The real difficulty was how to configure the printer profile for someone that knows nothing about 3d printing. According to the printed instructions there was supposed to be a config file in the card but I could not find it. My best results were with a program called JGCreat which seems to be an older Cura version.Printing:It comes with a small amount of filament which I didn't use. The instructions for leveling the bed were not as clear but after finally getting it right I was able to print the sample file that comes in the SD Card. It printed perfectly in the first try. A nice but simple piece, the only issue is that it was so hard to pry out of the bed. That was my first lesson on 3d printing: use hair lacquer on the bed before printing. There are many to comeI have been able to print only in the 0.2 mm layer height. The prints come out beautifully. For noobs like me I recommend going to youtube and search for : "3d printing things I wish I knew".In summary, it is a great 3d printer. I am having a lot of fun learning and trying new things and the printer delivers. There are failed prints for sure, but that is part of the learning process. One last thing. The seller Gudis INC offered me a free filament roll as a gift, so they also get a good review from me.

Watch the video!!
***UPDATED***I really have no complaints about this machine. For what I use it for, it's great. If I try to print too many cookies cutters at one time, I may end up with one cutter with a thinner edge, but I just reprint it alone and its perfect.I have never used a 3d printer before. Never even seen one in person lol. I am a cookier and bought this to make cookie cutters. I read the reviews and decided I would go for this one.I have only printed the test print and started a cutter, but I aborted the print at no fault of the printer. I had to change the filament because I ran out of the sample that came with and used a filament I bought at the same time of this purchase, I've already returned it and bought the manufacturer's filament. My one and only complaint right now, the directions. Partially my fault. I used the jump drive for the instructions because the paper is really just to hard to read, but they are incomplete instructions... Unless you use the video on the drive. My fault, I thought it was a promo video, but when I was stuck on the timing belt, after it was all together, I watched the video and it turns out that is a step by step video, it has all of the instructions not in the manual.

Great starter printer, buy metal extruder kit
Great starter machine, paper instructions are all but useless but the video in the SD card is very helpful. For under $200 this thing has outperformed some of my $1000+ machines. Little bit of learning with leveling as the both beds seem to warp a little from the middle bit for the price once dialed in it performs great!Buy a metal extruder kit, $10-$15 improves it even more
