AMD 3rd Gen Ryzen 9 3900X Desktop Processor 12 Cores up to 4.6GHz 70MB Cache AM4 Socket (100-100000023BOX)

This is my latest review. The boot loop was not due to this motherboard. It was due to AMD 3900X CPU that went faulty. I checked my Antec 750W Power supply, Corsair LPX 16 x 4 = 64 GB DDR4 RAM, 1 TB NVMe Sabrent storage & GeForce GPU on my spare Intel Core i7 based MSI motherboard. They worked just fine. Remaining was just this motherboard and AMD CPU. So I got my friends AMD Ryzen 9 CPU on this motherboard. It worked just fine. I google searched for AMD RMA form, filled it and emailed them with all the above actions I took to validate that my CPU may be faulty. AMD responded over email in a weeks time, then I parceled it to them on given address. I parceled the entire CPU box with Wraith cooler and packaged it properly with bubble paper and Tape. I received my new 3900X CPU in another week. It took 3 weeks but now its working fine. Moral of the story is that Boot Loop Cursor on screen is due to faulty CPU. ###################################### Following was my earlier review. My Rig: 1) CPU - Of course 3900X, 2) RAM - 64 GB DDR4 = 4 x Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB 3000MHz C16 DDR4, 3) Disk - 1 x SB-ROCKET-NVMe4-1TB, Other 5 old SSDs with varying capacities. 4) GPU - Very Old 1GB GDDR3 ATI Radeon Sapphire graphics card 5) Mobo - MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WiFi AMD ATX Gaming Mothearboard 6) PS - Old Antec EAG PRO 750W Gold 7) Case - Corsair 750D. Experience: I performed some heavy duty installations like Openshift and Tanzu with atleast 5 VMs per each installation within Vmware virtualization using vmware workstation. My RAM got 48 GB used. The CPU utilization did not cross 10% and with Wraith cooler it kept its Temps at 39 deg Celsius. During installations, the Task manager's resource Monitor shows only around 4 Cores in use with 8 to 10% spread across them. Rest of the cores are shown as Parked. Looks like power saving to me.

I absolutely do not regret putting the extra money for this Beauty. High end gaming and video rendering at break neck speeds. Only downside are the temps which can be brought down with good coolers but overall, this rocks!

voller Vorfreude kam der Prozessor sehr gut verpackt und unversehrt bei mir an. Die Installation verlief wie zu erwarten ohne Probleme (wer keine Erfahrungen hat, keine Angst, es liegt eine Anleitung bei wie er zu installieren ist). Den Prism Kühler habe ich in der Box gelassen da ich von vornherein eine Wasserkühlung für mein Projekt ausgewählt habe. Jedoch macht auch dieser einen qualitativ hochwertigen und stylischen Eindruck (sicherlich ein Plus für Leute die auf Luftkühlung setzen). Mein aktuell fertiggestelltes setup läuft prima. Wichtig sei nochmal zu erwähnen, nach Möglichkeit vor der Installation, ein BIOS Update durchzuführen (sofern möglich) um etwaigen Problemchen in Sachen Konnektivität ect aus dem Weg zu gehen. Generell läuft mit der amd Treiber Installation aber ratz fatz alles wie es soll und ohne Probleme. Aktuelle Titel wie z. B CoD MW laufen bei mir auf hohen Einstellungen, der Prozessor läuft derzeit noch auf Standard takt, dabei hat der Prozessor sich stehts noch gelangweilt und die Temperaturen blieben im Keller. Ausreizen kann ich ihn wohl aber erst wenn ich eine aktuelle Grafikkarte zu humanen Preisen finde. OC software inklusive. Ich bin bisher begeistert und kann ihn empfehlen!

Yo desde que pude elegir mi PC siempre elegí AMD, pero como muchos saben, hubo un tiempo en que sus procesadores no daban la calidad o rendimiento deseable ante la competencia, motivo por el cual me cambié a intel por un par de años. Desde la llegada de ryzen todo eso cambió y eso provocó que volviera a donde pertenezco. Debo decir que si, si ustedes buscan reviews en Internet, el nuevo ryzen 7 5700x le da vuelta a este procesador en juegos por el mismo precio, pero en productividad esos núcleos extra siguen dándole una ventaja interesante tanto con el ryzen 7 así como contra intel y lo que pudiera ofrecer (para productividad) por lo que debo decirles que aún en 2021 es una excelente alternativa este modelo (y no sus hermanos mayores de la serie 3000) tanto por el precio como por el hecho que su dicipador de stock es perfecto para mantenerlo fresco sin problema alguno, es un procesador maravilloso para trabajar y para el gaming se defiende aún sin problema alguno. Quizás si hubiera una queja seria la poca pasta térmica que trae de stock, pero nada que al cabo de 1 año o 2 puedas cambiar por una de mejor calidad. Como dato adicional ese cooler que trae va perfecto para poner todas las rams sin problemas siempre que no sean exageradamente altas, aunque bueno, si le vas a acompañar con rams con dicipadores altos (por ende rams costosas) invertir en un enfriamiento líquido no suena a mala idea.

After considering and checking different CPU's I choose Ryzen 9 3900X and it performs excellent.
