Paws Rest Premium Pet Casket, Large

It WAS a beautiful casket for my beloved dog of 11 years. But when it arrived, it was busted up to the point I could not use it, the lid would not close and I was broken hearted. Amazon, said it was the shippers fault (UPS) and then sent me another one. So very sad that the second one ALSO came busted and I had no other option but to use it since my dog was dead, and I had to bury him quickly. It cost us another $50.00 to repair it just so we could get my buddy buried. We had to buy wood, wood glue, screws, and water proof calking to try and put it back together. I was so very broken hearted and having to bury my best friend for the last 11 years in a busted casted just really bothered me. Amazon did nothing about the SECOND busted casket and offered no percentage back for our expense of having to fix it. This WILL cause me to NOT renew my Prime membership when it ends. YES, it is a beautiful casket, but it is VERY cheaply made for the price. The lock did NOT lock either. I cried the first night it rained hard, because I knew it was leaking down in the ground. The item was poorly packaged / wrapped and not suitable for safe shipping.I took the time to read through the reviews carefully and that is why I waited till I was a little less emotional to write this. I wish I would have just spent the money on a local craftsman and stained it myself. So very disappointed in this item and Amazon.( I have attached photos, and waited for over a month to post this as I did not want to be emotional when I wrote this review.)

I bought this for my large, 69lb border collie/wolf mix. I was afraid it would be too small, but the next larger caskets for big dogs looked like big plastc bins....I couldn't put my "family" member, wonderful dog in one of those! This casket was big enough for him and so beautiful inside and out, that he looked like he was sleeping, head resting on the pillow provided. Make sure you dif the hole wide enough to accomodate the bars that you carry it with.....we barely made it.The only thing I saw as a problem was there was no apparent seal ouround the edges (maybe I missed this and/or instructions in my grief,) so I used a heavy duty foam seal tape I happened to have in my garage. This seemed to do the trick. I am so grateful this company makes a beautiful casket like this, and I wanted people with larger dogs to know they can fit, probably most breeds, in this casket. Our next move was to buy a very expensive chil's casket made for humans....which was about $1000.Our dog was slightly taller than your average golden retriever or lab, and a little longer as well. As I said before he was approx. 65-70 lbs when he passed. This might help you decide if this will fit your loved pet, as the chart guide was kind of unclear to us. I highly recommend this casket, and shipping was very fast....unexpectedly so.....thankfully, as our dog passed the following day. I am sorry for your loss or potential loss of your beloved pet, but this casket is one that will leave you with a knowing your pet rests in beautiful peace.I am in no way associated with the manufacturers or sales people who make and distibute this product....I am a real person who just lost my favorite dog.....

My hopes were high. I really thought this was the best of caskets available for my little princess. It arrived in a damaged box with all eight corners smashed. It was poorly packed, poorly shipped and poorly described. Now I have to repair all of those corners to keep moisture out. The satin liner was poorly mounted. The pillow is nice, but that's the extent of it. There is no seal to between the bottom half and the top half of the shell. The latch is also broken. The sheer amount of time I will have to put into repairs is offensive. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this casket, the final resting place, for the one you love.

This is a beautiful casket. I purchased the Large and it fit my 85 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback perfectly!Unfortunately, time was of the essence and I needed overnight shipping. Item arrived well packaged with minimal damage for Overnight delivery ( a couple cracks in the wood- easily repaired with gorilla glue, a clamp, & a couple screws ). As with any fragile shipments, you should NOT ship overnight. Ground is always preferred.Excellent quality for the price! I'm extremely happy with this purchase and I will buy again, when needed.

Bought as my beloved dog got up in years to be prepared. 1st one arrived with brokenen hinge. Returned and it was replaced with a perfect one. So comforting to lay my baby to rest in this beautiful casket. My 60 lb golden retriever fit very comfortably.

The hinges and clasp arrived with all the screws ripped out of the wood. It was not well packaged and better protection may have prevented the damage. It would also be better if it came with something to make an airtight seal as nearly all other less expensive offerings. The lining is very well made and would be suitable for wake, but again, it is not well attached. The lining is stapled to the wood and a quarter of them were torn loose like the screws in the hardware. I ended up trashing the hinges and clasp, and just sealing the casket with liquid nails.

It was perfect. We love you and miss you Max.

I don't usually write reviews, but I was so happy with this beautiful casket that I wanted to let others know that it looks really great inside and out and the quality is excellent. I had trouble finding a casket and was so happy I was able to find this one. Very sturdy and well built / exterior is polished wood / interior is soft velvet with a nice pillow. It looks like a human quality casket, only smaller for pets. I also called the company to ask questions before I ordered and they were very nice and helpful during my time of loss. I am so thankful and comforted I was able to find such a nice casket for my wonderful lab.
