Nextop-Canon LP-E5 1500mAh Compatible Battery for Canon EOS 450D Digital Rebel Xsi

It should be noted that this is NOT an actual Canon brand battery. It is FOR Canon. It seems to work just fine, but it's an important distinction for folks that don't want to risk it.As it says, this battery is 7.2V and 1500mAh. The battery pack that comes with the XSi is 7.4V and 1080mAh. Once again, important to some people. For others, the battery works.The only real complaint I have for a battery that is 1/5 of the price of the real one is that at some point, the battery casing is a hair too big. This can cause the battery to get stuck in the camera. Something small like a toothpick or paperclip can easily be used to unstick it.All in all, it's definitely cheaper than the official replacement and seems to work just fine. It's handy to have a spare around.

OK so maybe I should say that it doesn't specifically claim to be compatible with the T1i, but it does get stuck. Yes, you can pull it out with a pointed object (small screwdriver, or toothpick maybe) but I still don't like doing that. It had a printed battery, and I've already sanded the outer plastic down with 800 grit sandpaper, but no luck. It just gets slightly stuck.Battery life seems acceptable. Haven't run it or the original down completely. I more bought it as a backup to my original.update:sanding it down with some 600-800 grit sandpaper helped. It now slides in and out nicely. Battery life is roughly about the same as the original battery, I'm not keeping track. I've taken about 300+ shots after leaving it in my camera for a few days. I'm doing a daily image project so I take a few every day and probs 100-300 one day a week. I never let them get down to 0%, I just swap them out when they get into the red.

I ordered this battery with reservations because other users said it was difficult taking the battery out of the camera. It fits just as well as the battery that came with the camera. I usually charge my batteries before a shoot for caution so I can only say that after 700 shots the battery indicator displays full power. With the savings over Canon's battery this is a very good choice. I would buy this battery again without hesitation.

This battery serves its purpose for me as a backup battery only. It does not last as long as the original canon LP-E5 battery. I also noticed that after a few months the battery starts to bloat but is still usable.

The battery arrived quickly as expected. The rating on the battery is actually 1000mAh as is the original unit that came with my Canon. So far I have shot about two hundred images on a single charge, most of them with flash, and no problems. For the price this is a great unit.

This battery was quite the bargain. I have used it and used it and have no trouble with it. I have shot weddings (high demand for lots of power and stamina). And I have used it on location shoots. I couldn't be happier. Thanks!

I bought 2 batteries. Gave 4 stars to the one that worked, since one of battery couldn't be charged. The one that worked seems to be fine, keeps the charge after a month of not using it. No issues with the size, fits perfectly in my canon XSI/450D. The battery is rated 2000mAh which it isn't.

I was a little worried about it being too big like other reviewers had mentioned, but it seems just fine. Works great too, nice long charge.
