Took a couple of tries, but light is working and dimming silently
I have it working as recessed light inside a built in cabinet with glass shelves and doors. It took a while to get it to work so maybe someone can benefit from my experience. It says cut 2 1/8" hole but who has that size hole saw. Cut 2" hole and shaved the two plastic tabs on sides of puck to make it fit. All good. Light is bright (similar to a 25w incandescent light) and so you probably want to hook it to a dimmer in a cabinet. Its also a slightly whiter light at 3000K. Most incandescents are 2800K. Most people would prefer 2800K, but when dimmed, not so noticeable.Dimming: the Lutron DVCL 153P dimmers suggested by the seller did not work. I have several; tried 2 with no luck. The 153P dimmers work as I have other LED lights that function perfectly. The seller shipped me a 2nd light. It did not dim either. The 1st LED light buzzed. The 2nd LED light was silent as an LED light should be (but a number of manufacturers have a problem with noisy LED lights and it doesn't have to be that way, shouldn't be that way). I tried both on a non LED dimmer and both worked! I am keeping the one that does not buzz, dims smoothly and silently. I am happy now. I used a Lutron DV-600PH (non LED/CFL) single pole dimming switch. The dimming range was superb and went all the way down to a slight glow. Not having to find a hiding spot for an AC to DC converter for low voltage lighting was worth the effort. All of the puck lights should be made to accept 120V direct current. We have modern electronics now and manufacturers should live up to the promise of a digital LED lit world that is efficient and buzz free.

Intensely bright, constant flicker/flashing even at full intensity on LED rated dimmer
Nice VERY bright lights but they flicker constantly when at any intensity on dimmer. Using Premium Leviton slide dimmer designed for LED. IF you like strobe lights, these are just the thing for you. I am going to try to use them without the dimmer to see if that helps get rid of the strobe effect. I have 7 of these on the circuit and they all do the same flashing effect. I have a hunch that these just aren't designed for use with a dimmer, even though they are "dimmable". The lights are so bright I need to put shields in front of them as you can't look at the cabinets they are mounted in without hurting your eyes.

Perfect Replacement for 20Watt Halogen Puck Lights
Perfect replacement for a 20 watt halogen puck light. (I just replaced my two puck lights over the stove and kept the rest of my halogen pucks. Wanted to see if they worked well before replacing them all.)Light is very bright and the color spectrum matches the halogens around itLight does take a second to come on. My lights had no buzzing whatsoever. Dimming works great with my existing wall dimmer.I clipped off the quick disconnect fitting and fished the wires right into where my halogen pucks went. Wired directly to the 120V in my box and it works like magic. The LED light will not fire up if the dimmer is down too low- seems to need a minimum voltage to start up. However, once started it will go down very low. Since the LED is more efficient than the halogens, it is much brighter than the rest of the lights on the lowest dimming.Very nice! I will buy more.

Looks well made, good light color and intensity
Bought this to mount to bottom of new chandelier. Will take some work to figure that all out, but did plug it in and checked brightness, color temperature and intensity. Passed all with flying colors. Looks well made.

A nice feature of this unit is that the cover can ...
I purchased this puck light for the inside of a cabinet with shoji screen doors. I just wanted a soft, warm glow coming through the doors at night and the dimmable feature helped reduce the intensity of the light, which would be much too bright for this purpose at full brightness. A nice feature of this unit is that the cover can be removed with a slight twist. This enabled me to sandwich an orange theatrical gel filter between the LEDs and the cover, changing the color of the light from bluish white to a warm glow similar to candle light. The effect is exactly what I had hoped for.

very disappointed with this product
I installed 12 of these reset puck lights for under cabinet lights; In about a year I had to replace 8 of them that burned out; They would start flickering for days and then go out completely; very disappointed with this product.
