I've been wet shaving for decades, my husband however has always been a bit reluctant of safety and Straight edge razors with his recent complaints about the awful Cartridge razor he uses I decided to put a little package together for him and see if he's ready to give it another whirl. I included a Merkur Futur ( I have love the Futur razor) , Stand, Bowl and some TOB in Rose which he already likes very much and uses.I chose this brush as I loved the look of it, the gorgeous blue and mirror like chrome are a nice break from the standard barrel shapes you see time and time again. Considering the price I was hesitant and had a hunch the bristles we going to fall more than short of Silver Tip. To my surprise the brush is softer than expected, the weight is a bit light but I'm comparing it to my Dovo's and my Merkur - so it's not quite fair. It fits perfectly in the stand (unlike the Futur!) and really is smashing looking.It's starting to bloom quite well and most important of all he loves it. I would say if you're a novice, on a budget or just looking for a decent back up brush that won't break the bank this would be a fine choice. Also important to note is that the brush comes beautifully packaged in a black box, sealed in cellophane, making it ideal for gift giving.G

Very soft bristles - a little bushy but overall a great item. Arrived in just 2 days --- Exceeded my expectations for quality and workmanship.

Fantastic brush!! Lots say badger hair but are synthetic nockoffs, this is the real deal true natural badger hair. It also came with instructions so a great option for a first time brush shaver nervous about properly using a brush.

I was very excited about this item arriving, I even quit shaving for three days while waiting for it. Well first impression was the handle looked amazing but the brush was flat from the box. It is heavier then my first 3 badger fur brushes. Then I went to smell it.......literally gave me a instant headache. It smells like turpentine/toxic glue. So I decided to try and “rinse” the smell out(which only made the smell worse). The brush head puffed up like wet cartoon cat. It would be extremely difficult to shave with this awful product. I’m not sure how it would even hold any creame since it’s all puffed up and wirey. I’ll never find out since I’m not putting this thing anywhere near my face. I am also not convinced this is true badger fur. Raccoon dog? You get what you pay for(this was comparably cheap). Do not waste your time/money on this brush. Buy a American/European brand brush for around double the cost, it will be worth it in the long run.

This was a new gift for myself since my older brush was a cheap-o and shed on me like a Siberian Husky in the middle of July. I was a little wary because of the price but the other reviews on here seemed to give it merit.I am happy with it, very happy. It took a few uses to soften up and get rid of the natural scent of the hair but now that it has been used for a month or two it has softened nicely and holds lather very well. The knot seems strong enough and the initial shedding from my first few uses has stopped. Occasionally I will find myself wearing a hair or two but that is completely expected and acceptable. The weight is also just right. I don't feel like I am holding a cheap piece of plastic in my hands. Definitely recommend for the price.
