Worked great until...
Worked great until one one of the points broke. HOWEVER I ran out of good lino and was using some old stuff which can get stupidly hard. I don't blame Flexcut at all - maybe it was a fluke, maybe it was my ancient lino, maybe it was me, who knows. I do have another Flexcut tool which is still great. And the seller let me return ot without any hassle at all which was awesome.I'd recommend getting their sharpening strop if you dont have access to good saws and scrap leather to make your own. After mine broke my bf tried to surprise help me by sharpening it on a grinding wheel which just trashed it further. He was trying to be nice. He's very nice. Lol.

Good tool
Iām not a fan of flex cut tools. I have had some and just havenāt cared for them. This one is good, it came sharp and has beeen easy to keep sharp. Thatās not always been that way with thereās for me. I am not a fan of the handles, you do some reshaping and make them better. Over all itās a good tool for the money, if drake had tool like this I would have one from them but them donāt make this size.

Great product. Perfect for linocut details.
Awesome for linocut detail work. The 1mm 45° V is exactly what we needed to get better detail. Very sharp and a treat to use.

Stays sharp along time
My daughter who is a beginner and I both use this Flexcut. She has normal size hands and I have huge mitts and the Flexcut feels equally good in our hands despite the size difference. My daughter carves ink stamps in linoleum and rubber blocks. I carve denser woods like oak, walnut and cherry. The steel must be pretty good because the tool stays sharp for fine detail work for a long time between stropping. I have found that regular stropping is all it takes to keep this v gouge razor sharp. I am buying more of these flexcut gouges.

Great tool you will enjoy using
Great tool for details. I have RA and was finding it very difficult to use my knives for carving eyes so got the v-tool to try. I'm very pleased with the results. It came razor sharp out of the box and feels great in my hand. Sadly, I dropped it on a concrete floor the first time I used it and of course it landed tip down so I had to regrind it with my diamond stones. That took all of 5 minutes and it was good to go again. If you are hesitant to buy one because you worry about sharpening it, don't worry, it's very easy. I'm not sure what carving tools I'll need next but I will certainly look to Flexcut first.

Small but sturdy
Used this small piece to carve a deep line in a picture frame that I was making. Needed a small width gouge and this worked perfectly.

Flexcuts smallest āVā tool. Must have for micro work.
I am a wood sculptor with twenty years experience and I have owned four of these so far. Must have for micro work. This is their smallest āVā tool and it is very small! Flexcut products are excellent. I own a bunch and they are indispensable.

Disappointed - so dull
I am so excited to get my new Flexcut tool as I heard good reviews. Mine arrived and when I opened it, it seemed like it was used. The blade was so dull so I can't even carve anything properly. It slides and slips even with sharpening. I was going to return it, but it costs me shipping to US and so much trouble. Very disappointed...

Good but make sure you get the right size
The tool is quite sharp and works well. I ended up making a wooden scabbard for it. I haven't got around to finishing the scabbard which will be a small project by itself.Overall, I docked 1 star because the tool is smaller than I expected and does not cut as deep a groove as I want. This is not the tool's fault as such and more of a peril of online shopping.
