This is a good album. good sound quality, and great value.
Very mellow jazz, just what I wanted nothing to taxing, I knew Paul Desmond had played with Dave Brubeck, and had composed the classic Take Five, but I didn't have anything by the man himself in my collection of jazz albums, so as with a lot of my purchases, I looked at the reviews on Amazon, this one had favourable reviews, and I'm pleased to say I agree with them, if you want a more detailed review, then read the other reviews, all I can say is this is a good album. good sound quality, and great value.

Feeling on my nerves !
Not especially with the music ,that is rather relaxing, but with the Jim Hall 's distorted guitar sound that gets on my nerves and denote with the sweetness of the saxophone sound.

superb
paul desmond first came to my notice back in the 1950's when he was with the Gerry mulligan quartet. I was absolutely enchanted by his amazing talent as he was so beautifully lyrical & had a tone all his own. there were even times when it almost sounded as if he was playing duets with himself! simply amazing talent. so, this "feeling blue" album is a wonderful addition to my collection, as he is one of my all time favourites.

His premature death was a great loos to jazz
Paul Desmond's alto is as smooth as a pint of Guiness on a summers day. His premature death was a great loos to jazz.

Ultimate Cool
Paul Desmond was a great saxophonist. His tone was like honey, and he did not suffer from the need to see how many notes he could cram into a bar, find the highest note he could squeeze out, or make painful experiments in tonality. This is a lovely tuneful, cool collection which would make a nice relaxing listen before bedtime, or at anytime that you needed a period of calm.

Classic Paul Desmond
Previously I had listened to a friends "Feeling Blue" cd and I just had to have my own to add to my Jazz collection. Paul Desmond was a genius and his interplay with Jim Hall and Gerry Mulligan is brilliant. Recommended.

Wonderful.
Paul Desmond is without doubt one of the most gifted saxophonists ever! His cool, seemingly effortless tones arequite beautiful. A great and well priced CD.
