11+ Vocabulary Flashcards: For the 2026 GL Assessment and CEM Tests (Collins 11+ Practice)

These vocabulary cards have been so useful for small group 11+ tutoring and SATS booster groups. Children love exploring new vocabulary and the definitions and examples help explain the definition of each word clearly. I would recommend them highly!

Good way to enhance vocabulary, my kids loved playing with these cards

It's a collection of 200 words with simple definitions and sentences that provide good explanation. My 7 year old son prefers it because it has simpler words. The numbering also makes it easy to set aside the ones he has used but it has no key rings or hole making it difficult to carry around. In addition, I noticed that antonyms were not provide for some words e.g. lament, envious, puncture but it's still a good starter pack for 11+ exams.

Perfect 👌 just what we needed. Homeschooling is difficult for most however I have a 14 year old and twin 10 year old who need to have consistant help with spellings and these flashcards and the reviews are really helpful, there are words for all levels of difficulty and a variety of types of words. We have home spellings (5 picked out at random) each week and each Friday iv asked the children to cover and spell aloud the words they have picked at random, this helps them to grow in confidence and challe ges them as well :) lovely cards with descriptions of each word on the backs for those who do not know what the words mean. Super helpful!

These are great for our 10YO for dipping in and out and getting a few words at a time covered. A good bunch of cards each numbered. For more interest we've shuffled them as they come alphabetically organised. These came recommended by our 11+ tutor and sit well alongside the 10 minute tests. Each card covers meaning, examples, synonyms, and antonyms. We've put ours into a clip lock box as the cardboard box they come in makes it difficult to get them in and out alot.

Great idea for home learning, to use for spelling, making sentences, etc. Each card has meaning of the word on the back with ideas if how the word can be used in a sentence. Would highly recommend.

These cards are ideal to just dip into as and when for a short amount of time to help improve spellings and widen range of vocabulary for children aged 11+ perfect for year 7 pupils just starting to write more in depth stories in comp.
