**Q: How does this secure your seat from theft?**
A: It will secure your seat. Slide one end of the cable through the metal frame under your seat. Take the other end of your cable and put it through the loop that you slid through your frame. It makes like a noose. With 6' of cable, plenty of length to reach the front wheel of your bike for further locking. I do this on both of my bikes.

**Q: I would like to use the krypto u-lock ny for the back wheel, along with a 5' chain to lock up front and post.  will the chain links fit the u-lock?**
A: It should fit a standard padlock if that is the same as a U lock

**Q: Will 8mm padlock fit cable end? What size is the opening for a lock attachment**
A: The steel cable is thick, it measures 1.5 inches around. So you may want to test the lock to see if there is enough clearance.

**Q: Is this cable long enough to fit through both wheels and be attached to a U-lock?**
A: This is a 4' cable. You may want take a measurement of your wheel base to make sure it going to fit your needs.

Works for what I need.. my Yakima bike rack has a built-in locking mechanism for the actual receiver portion but an extra layer of protection is always nice for peace of mind. I run this decent-size cable through the Yakima carrier directly to the hitch itself and lock it with a medium sized American Lock. I'm sure bottom line if somebody wanted it bad enough they'll go through the trouble of cutting it, well know that scum of the earth is in every state. but for 10 bucks I feel like it's definitely worth it and I love the quality feel of it
