Rock Exotica RockD Auto-Lock Carabiner

I purchased the auto-lock carabiner. The gates pull down, twist, open is a great alternative to the push up, twist open that has traditionally been the design of auto locking triple action carabiners. The biggest struggle you will have is if you mix and match them with the rest of the carabiners on your kit. It can get a bit confusing if you are 50% old style and 50% Rock Exotica.

I use this in single and double rope tree climbing. Safe and well built product. Also use the Rock exotica Pirate. You can use this product with confidence. Always a nice feeling when your life is at stake! Also a great item in a BOB.

Works great! Is easy to open with one hand. Large end for belaying or rappelling off of. Easy to see if it is locked or not by looking at for the padlock symbol.

It's great.
