Barbie David Bowie Doll FXD84

Absolutely love this doll and as some reviewers have already said, it’s not coming out of the box!!! I had all intentions to do that but it’s so well packaged & just looks so fab in the quirky wonky box that it is now sat in my room for all to admire (in the box!)It appears that this doll is still very much available to buy (we’re in September) but come Christmas time I think it will sell out! Mattel have done really well with the details & it’s just a wonderful tribute to Bowie! Love it!

Absolutely love this. I've never ever bought a Barbie in my life but considering I'm an avid Bowie fan and collector of all things wonderful I couldn't miss this chance. I first spotted these on the US barbie site in July following an article I read, so I'm super happy to have got one in the UK especially when they are limited to 20,000. In the grand scheme of things that's actually not a lot. The detail is amazing and that's just from staring at in the box as I have no plans to take it out! A complete collectors item and looks absolutely great on display. Eeek extremely happy to own this!

This is a great collectible tribute to Bowie , the overall quality is top notch including the display box , its obviously been designed with love and respect for the great man , well done Mattel.

amazing collectors doll, well packaged and presented, great tribute to bowie, as soon as seen it advertise I had to get one for my 7 year old daughter, it took me weeks to order one due to living in England, it seemed to be you could only pre order it if you live in America, but finally got one ordered from amazon £68 delivered and the bonus for me is there is only 20.000 made world wide but the hardest thing is on my daughter birthday is she cant play with it due to its a collectable limited edition doll, I week after I got it I got another one off amazon prime for £54 delivered bonus, now months later after there release there selling for £100, my daughter is going to love the Ziggy barbie doll

Being a massive bowie fan I'm obviously gonna order one of these but £80 is very expensive.

This was a gift for a Bowie obsessed fan and they loved it! It was presented in brilliant condition and is a real collectors piece! My only comment would be that at the end of the day, it's still just a plastic doll.

This is a collectible that may have appeal for Barbie or Bowie fans, perhaps both. I used to collect figures as a child but hadn’t added any to my collection for some years, until I recently stumbled across a Bowie figure based on his Labyrinth character. Got that and then found out about this, so now have the pair.Barbie is wearing a take on Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust outfit and it works well as a display figure, or even as a play character. I like the outfit and it is an attractive piece, whatever the reason for your purchase.The clothing looks and feels of an acceptable quality and it is recognisable as a Ziggy Stardust costume, as is Barbie’s makeup, so it is obvious what it is meant to be and works as a result. But check yours carefully as the first one I received had a faulty earring (the star was misshapen), tatty box and some very haphazard stitching. The outfit is not, even on the replacement, as well made as the one that has been photographed for the product pictures; the figures appear churned out rather than prepared with any degree of care.I feel the rrp is a little toppy to be honest, but I am keeping mine and not returning it, so I think it is just about worth it. As long as you don’t get one with a dodgy earring, dog eared box and particularly poor stitching.
