Like many, I bought these because they're a much ...
Like many, I bought these because they're a much more affordable "alternative" to Copic or Prismacolor. (Copic having a stellar brush nib, and Prismacolor having a very saturated and bright pigment)Is the lack of a brush nib that much of a drawback?• For coloring smaller areas (like a stamped image), no. Nor is it for really opaque, less varied areas that don't require the most seamless blend. • What a brush nib offers over bullet nibs is 1) better control around curving or irregular areas, 2) more gradual deposit of color (as opposed to a bullet nib going straight to opaque), and 3) a more seamless blend since you can feather it out and graduate the color.• I would augument the Spectrum Markers with brush nib replacements, Spectrum Illustrator markers, or other brush markers for doing faces or hair. Can you buy brush nibs separately?• Yes, but at $2-3 a nib, they're nearly twice the cost of the Spectrum Markers themselves (depending on where you're buying the markers) and so they become really close to the cost of a Copic or Prismacolor. • I'm hunting around for cheaper alternatives. So far, the cheapest are the Ranger Cut-n-Dry nibs which work pretty good.• I was able to get Copic Super Brush Replacements for around a buck 50 a nib and they work exceptionally well in the Spectrum.Do these markers work with other alcohol markers?•Yes, I can blend them with Prisma and Copic. Are there repeats?• No. Every pack, whether 6 or 24, contains a unique set of markers that can ONLY be found in that pack (unless you buy them open stock). So long as you're not buying two "pastel" packs or "green packs" and so on, you will NOT end up with repeats. • That being said, there are some markers that are close enough that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference without the label on the cap. What I DON'T like:• Colors on the box and on the cap are not a great representation of the actual colors. Mostly, the tone is way off. What I'd expect to be a medium or even light color, will come out substantially darker than what's on the cap.• That you can buy several sets and still not have access to certain colors. I have the Brights, Lights, and Essentials (plus other color specific 6 packs) yet I still don't have a true yellow or purple. • A tendency to feather.• How halfhazard their color numbering system is. The letters (ie "C" for coral or "TB" for true blue) "seem" appropriate, but when swatched in sequential order it all looks a bit messy. While I would expect BP2 to be a deeper version of BP1, its almost a different shade entirely. CR9 looks like the lighter version of C11, whereas C10 looks orange when abutting those two.• Their color chart. It's ugly, organized very poorly, and makes no sense from a ROY G BIV perspective. Hence, I scoured the internet for a better one and stumbled upon one made by a girl on IG. What I DO like:• The shape of the barrel and the cap design. I'm referring to the new generation--not the old ones with caps no one could remove. The caps sit on better than the one on my Copic Sketches (which twist too much for my liking), and the hexagonal shape of the barrel keeps them from rolling.• Price. If you're in a financial position where price is not a concern, awesome; however, I'll likely never be in a position to spend thousands on markers and so at a quarter of the price of more popular brands, these work exceptionally well, have refills, and are available in many more colors than bargain no name markers.

Careful with the colors.
I just recieved my package today, and before even attempting to paint something I decided to make a color chart to make sure of the colors I really wanted to use.I knew from other reviews the colors were not quite what the cap or the box shows, so I decided to make the test myself, and here is a picture so you can have an idea of what they look like in paper.Really good alcohol markers, really cheap alternative to the copic markers, really worth a try.

Wise investment
I was afraid to buy these because of all the mixed reviews on this site. I had read that these arrived mostly dried out, and that the blending could not rival Copic markers. I found that to be false. All of the markers in the 24 set not only worked but were quite juicy. I feel that these markers are easily on par with the Copic brand. After buying a set of 6 (Cool Gray) I was instantly in love and purchased almost all of the rest of the set, this bundle included. Take a chance and buy these.

Great delivery of Bright colors and good coverage
I love the brilliant bright colors as seen in my Art work above just wish they also included the mute tones for skin as I had to refer to another item for coloring the skin. Will search to see if this company has those.

these art markers are way too dark they are more like prismacolor markers than they are like Copic
Not impressed, these art markers are way too dark they are more like prismacolor markers than they are like Copic. They have a peculiar odor about them, the price is good but the quality is not I intend to save my money and keep buying Copic markers for my art collection.

A number of these were dry
This was my second attempt to buy Spectrum Noir in the 24 pack. Of the 24, 4 were nearly dry and an additional 2 were barely wet enough to color, even when I stood them on end to try to get what little ink was in there to pool at the pointed tip. A new version of these markers has been released with an optional brush tip and better control of dryness, etc. I haven't decided if I want to take the chance or go with Copics. I know the Copics are more expensive but I haven't had the same disappointing experience with those.

Markers & their caps
These markers are great. However the caps are hard to twist off (I have arthritis in my wrists)...the company needs to make the markers with easier caps to place on & off.

I find these to be pretty good markers with a few caveats
The item I received was the New Generation markers. I could be wrong, but I think most sellers are now selling the New Gen even with the picture that is currently on display on amazon.I find these to be pretty good markers with a few caveats. First the positives. My Spectrums blend well and are really juicy. The colors are vibrant and go on smoothly. The hexagon shape is really easy for me to hold with my little girly hands. I like the weight to these markers. These are refillable and the nibs are replaceable. The bullet nib is actually surprisingly nice to use.Now for a couple negatives. These markers bleed like crazy when you saturate the paper. I tried several different ones and also tried the same papers with Copics. The colors on the lids are not exactly what you get when you put the ink on paper. Typically the ink comes out darker. I also don't like the chisel end. I would prefer if they came standard with a brush nib. In order to switch out all the chisel nibs with brush nibs, I'd only save $50 for a set of 72 over a 72 set of Copics. Not a bad intro to alcohol markers, but if you need brush nibs, just go for the Copics.

One of my best purchases yet!
Super fast delivery and excellent quality. I have found a few of the tops difficult to remove without pulling out the "innards" but other than that...they are lovely. Can't wait to get the pastels!
