The Lunar Nomad Oracle

I enjoy collecting tarot and divination systems and particularly love the cartomancy decks such as themed playing cards, Sibilla, Kipper and Lenormand so was interested in purchasing this deck. I’m a hobbyist reader who reads for myself and occasionally for others. I find cards easy to shuffle, I’ve been blessed with long slender hands. However, if you have small hands you may find it difficult so cut the deck in half, lift the edge bring them close and they will tumble/shuffle together a couple of times. There are three suggested spreads in the accompanying book which discusses one, three and nine card spreads with the latter you have a choice of three methods to create your story these are predictive, deconstructive and creative it is the story element which makes The Lunar Nomad a little more than an extended Lenormand if you care to delve deeper take the Lunar nomad journey, or alternatively you can stick to the traditional Lenormand use the extra cards or reduce it to 36 cards although I think it would be interesting to explore and expand through daily forecasting, affirmations, talismans and experimenting through card magical work briefly touched upon in the book page 138-143.These Lunar Nomad cards are sumptuous they have a beautiful dark toned (sombre) imagery, if you are a tarot and divination professional I’m sure clients will find them visually appealing, in addition you will find them a useful tool for enhancing giving body and an extra voice to your readings. Professional or amateur/hobbyist a like, if you are feeling especially ambitious, have a large table or clear a floor space, you could if you desired use the oracle size card to a do the Grand tableau it could be something for one to do on a cold winter or warm summer evening, one could turn it into a nice intimate social gathering and oracle reading event invite one or two friends over, it would certainly be a talking point.Education aids- If you are into education and developing courses these would be a marvellous way of teaching students Lenormand/Oracle divination in a class room setting their size lend well for this. These cards would lend themselves to spiritual groups involved in personal development, witches and other folks into woo.Finally, if you are a tarot and divination collector purchase one deck see if you like it then purchase another if you do, think these will be a sort after item one day. I plan to personalise my deck but have not decided on the colour of my cards edges, thinking of either sepia, gold or the green colour that copper goes.

I had never heard of Lenormand Cards until I read an article about this deck in Spirit and Destiny Magazine. I was immediately drawn the mysterious beauty of the Lunar Nomad Oracle by Shaheen Miro. The cards are much more intricate than traditional Lenormand cards so perhaps won't appeal to those looking for classic deck. As I didn't know any different I ordered them and am already hooked. They work on a different, deeper level in my Readings and add another dimension to Tarot and other Oracle cards. "When you open up to the wonder of your psychic, intuitive, creative impulses, you slip into the rythm of the universe." I love these cards and now want to find out more about Lenormand

I really wanted to love this deck so much. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. Artwork is ok, not the most original. But, the cards are HUGE! I mean postcard sized. This unfortunately adds to the fact the cards are not suitable to use for clients. And, the card stock is really cheap and flimsy. So very disappointed that this deck is really unsuitable for me.

This cards are massively big that are very difficult to shuffle. I did not realised when I bought them. The images are ok though.

Amazing collage artwork with a vintage feel and look. The deck is designed to be used as an oracle but it can still be used as a traditional Lenormand deck.

The text prepared for these cards is simple and full of meaning.The ideas are slowly built and there is an addition of layer upon layer of meaning and subtext to each card.There is as well a divinatory meaning as well as a very supportive three card reading explanation. This is probably the most insightful 3 card reading explanation I have yet to read.Congratulations to the writer!The cards follow suit and allow themeselves to a slow discovery of their layers and of the information that was hidden within a sturdy and large card stock.

De grandes cartes magnifiquement illustrées, de style vintage. Elles laissent placent à l'imagination tout en conservant les symboles du petit Lenormand traditionnel. Deux Hommes et deux femmes selon les envies et les goûts. Il y a aussi cinq cartes supplémentaires, n'existant pas dans le Lenormand : lechat, Le parapluie, la chauve-souris, l'aura et la voyante.Etaient-elles bien utiles ? Le hic réside dans l'épaisseur des cartes, ultra fines et difficilement manipulables compte-tenue de leur grande taille. A part ça, ce jeu vaut le détour.

The art is splendid and the guidebook is great. The cards are large which itself is not a problem - but I wish the cards would have been thicker. Cards are too bendy to my taste and shuffling them is rather difficult. The tuck box that the cards were stored in wasn’t very good and durable either. The larger box that stored the tuck box and the guidebook is better though.

Que dire!! Superbe jeu construit sur la base d'un Lenormand avec des cartes supplémentaires. Vous pouvez travailler le jeu comme tel ou aller au delà, les cartes vous invitant à travailler votre intuition. Les cartes sont très grandes: faire un grand tableau vous prendrait un tapis.... ;) Cela dit, il est parfait pour les tirages plus petits. Dernier point et non des moindres: Ce jeu est magnifique!!! Les cartes ont un esprit vintage (notamment pour celles utilisant des personnages ou/et utilisant des tons sepia). Les dessins de certaines cartes ont ce quelque chose de précieux, entre le dessin d'étude et la carte au trésor pleine d'énigmes... Je regrette néanmoins que la carte de la maison ne soit pas à la hauteur de toutes les autres. Mais rassurez-vous, il vous restera 45 autres cartes pour vous extasier. ;)

Magnifique !! Grandes et majestueuses cartes pleines de symbolisme, il est envoûtant, découvert grâce à Claire de Lune et sa chaîne pleine de douceur!

Simplesmente lindo!

I was really excited for this deck.The Lunar Nomad Oracle comes in a really nice hard box. The book and cards slide into the side. 5 starsThe book is fantastic. It is beautifully written and there is quite a bit of content to sink your teeth into.The book starts out with an introduction to your lunar self, lunar and solar selves, and a section on how to use the cards including a basic spread.For the card meanings, there is a small reproduction of each card, keywords and then an explanation. Some cards have questions to “ask yourself” to further draw you into the card. Most cards have two pages of text, like I said, lots to sink your teeth into. Book: 5 starsThe flip top box that the cards are kept in is really flimsy. (Like another reviewer noted) Not a problem, I can always make another box to put them in or not use that box.The cards are quite large. Also not a problem.The cards themselves. *sigh* I will start off by saying the artwork is gorgeous. There are so many layers and the imagery just draws you in. Artwork and styling of cards: 5+ stars.The cards themselves are made from really flimsy cardstock. They don’t seem to have any type of coating on them to act as a protectant since they are so thin. (I have the Oracle of Mystical Moments which has equally thin cardstock but that one has a coating on it and I don’t have to worry about shuffling)The cards are shrink wrapped and then placed into the flip top box. Now since the card stock is so poor, it has peeled the edges of the top card ever so slightly.I’m not sure what has happened with the printing as the backs are two (possibly more) different colors. If the cardstock was better, it wouldn’t be that much of a problem, it could add character to the deck. Buuuut since the cardstock is so disappointing, it just adds to a bad taste in my mouth regarding the physical quality of this deck.I’m not sure how long these cards will last, I’ll need to be really careful in shuffling. Cardstock: 1 starIt really is such a shame because the art and spirit of this deck is so amazing but the execution is terrible.

Gorgeous art, so rich and deep, and surprisingly not distracting, considering the amount of detail in each card. There seem to be at least 3 stories going on in each card but one can still immediately identify with the Lenormand meaning. There are a few extra cards which can be used , thus making this a Lenoracle, or removed, so as to stick strictly to the original Lenormand 36 card system. The small book is lovely, very informative and fits nicely into the box with the cards so you can keep everything together. The only problem is the cards are ENORMOUS, impossible to use for a GT or 9 card box and cumbersome to shuffle. I asked the artist if he still had any small ones available, as this was originally an ondie deck, but alas, he did not. Now it would depend on the mass market publisher to issue a smaller size...If only these wonderful cards came in poker size, I never would have used any other...

I LOVE the Lunar Nomad Oracle! Shaheen's artwork is inspiring and incredible. I just got my deck in the mail a few days ago and have been engrossed in the deep and moving images. I love Shaheen's system for helping us describe and access our Lunar and Solar nature and connect to higher intuition. I love how Shaheen provides tools in the accompanying instruction book to help use the cards as a vehicle for empowerment, self exploration, and spiritual growth. Highly recommend this Oracle deck to those who want to connect to their higher wisdom and inner guidance!
