Great deal on a great tool
This tester is accurate right out of the box. I manually tested water using a dropped-based color-coded PH system and then again with this tester. They matched every time. The first reading was color-4 and tester-4.32. I then treated the water to neutralize the acid and tested again. The color-system showed above 6 and below 7 while this meter showed 6.53.Great bargain. Effective tool. I recommend it.

Accurate
Very easy to calibrate, easy to use, and very accurate. If you are frequently checking and adjusting your water, I'd definitely recommend getting one.

Took 3 tries but it works!
I knew this PH meter was useful because my neighbor ordered the exact same and it worked perfectly for him. The first two i ordered could not stabilized regardless of how many times I calibrated and waited. After almost giving up on the product, I ordered a third and this time around the PH meter has been working phenomenal. It actually stabilizes after a minute or two with an accurate reading.

Seems to work great
I am new to hydroponics and picked this up based on price and reviews. It arrived with easy to understand instructions and seems to work well. Durable and well packaged.

Get it growers!
Impressed! I went out of order while calibrating it (with the packers they provide). I went 2nd, 3rd, and then first and it still became an accurate oh measuring machine. I tested it against my results on a color coded (droplet) tester and it appears to know what’s up! My cannabis plants are happy and I have some better peace of mind. When I want to have it a little high, medium, or lower ph- I can do that now. You can’t get that understanding of your ph with the color droplet system.. no way. Best purchase for tending to my plants! Get it!

Crapshoot?
The unit could not be calibrated and appears to be a used item. The batteries are corroded as if moisture got into the case. Returned for a replacement, which I hope is new and actually works.

Broken Unit, Slow Read Time
My unit worked flawlessly for 5 minutes. Then the next day when I needed it, it just started reading random numbers or just zeros. It would start out at 12,10, or 8 when in pickle juice and slowly read down to zero and then start again. It said vinegar diluted by water in a 1:1 ratio had a pH of 1.8 which is impossible.

pH pen works correctly, make sure you use the packets to calibrate the pen and keep the mixture
Make sure you use the enclosed packets to get the right calibration. That is the most important thing you need to do. Then just check the pH of any water before adding nutes and adjust with pH down. I was just using tap water and thought it would have been a pH of 7 but it was over 8, so my plants are still recovering since I pH anything going into the plants.Easy to use, LCD is easy to read.
