We are a very small company who want to make affordable plastic-free alternatives. Our vegan wraps are handmade in Devon. We started because we wanted to cut down on our own use of singe use plastic. The vegan food wraps are a new range in our products. These wraps are a reusable alternative to cling film or foil. They are washable, reusable and compostable. The wraps are made from 100% cotton fabric that has been treated with a mixture of candelilla and soy wax, tree resin and jojoba oil. The wraps will initially smell of pine resin and candelilla and they can appear sticky, but this will fade with use. Because the wraps are handmade the sizes are approximate. The wraps can be washed in luke warm water with a mild soap. If the water is too hot it will melt the wax. Do not put them in the dishwasher or microwave for the same reason. As previously stated the wraps are reusable, but after having a lot of use they can look crumpled and tired, you can rejuvenate them. Preheat the oven to 100 degrees Celsius , put some baking parchment down onto a baking tray and put the wrap on top. Put the baking tray in the oven for 2-3 minutes. Once the wax has re-melted take the wrap out by the corner and hang up to cool. Your wrap will be revitalised.
