Perfectly Good Replacement Battery
I used this to replace the battery in my Dyson DC59 Animal. It works fine, I don't know how long it will last because I just installed it today. To install it you have to take the vacuum apart then remove 2 screws, there are videos on youtube. You need a very small phillips head screw driver, I have the Leatherman set for their multi tools which worked with a Leatherman Skeletool. The problem I had was getting the "easy" screw started back in. The way to do it is place the vacuum on a hard surface where you can put considerable force on so the holes line up, then it's a cinch. The original battery lasted 30 months of light use, I expected it to last longer.

The battery on my beloved two-year-old DC59 was no longer holding an adequate charge. Not unexpected, as any battery has a finite number of charge/discharge cycles.So do I replace the whole machine? Or take a chance on an expensive after-market battery from an unknown supplier with a silly-ass name?The decision: I tried this battery. Since then it's been a couple of months of daily use, and it's still cranking out the Watt-Hours like the original. I suppose it may explode at any moment, or melt into toxic sludge... but so far it hasn't. It has delivered performance at least equal to the original.

Dosent fit well
Poor fit, this does not fit as well in the dc59 as the orginal one. You really have to cram it in almost breaking the plastic to get it to fit. In addition the 2 screws do not line up to secure the battery, they are off by about 2 mm. The battery does last about 10 % longer than my 2 year old orginal dyson one. I would recommend getting another brand that had a better fit.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Don't waste your money, completely died after 3 months. Spend the extra money and get an actual dyson battery that will last much longer

as good as factory supplied and a whole lot less $$$. Color matches perfectly with my Powerhead 59 V6? Pretty sure that's the one I have lol.

As with other reviews, the product did not fit ...
As with other reviews, the product did not fit quite right, and the two screws were not able to go in as expected. When it was plugged in to charge, the battery became very hot within 10 min. I unplugged it and requested a refund. I'd rather pay double and get the correct battery from Dyson.
