Gorgeous.
I read "Ant Colony" back when it was just "Ant Comic," serialized on DeForge's blog. I loved it then, and I love it now — and I'm overjoyed to have it in this frankly beautifully-produced form. It's a hell of a lot nicer than the hack-job bootleg press of it I made back in college. My only complaint: DeForge's gorgeous bestiary/cast page (published after Ant Comic ended) is missing from this volume. This is the only flaw in an otherwise perfect publication.

And now for something completely different...
The kind of fever dream you could feasibly imagine a passive-aggressive vegan hippie might have. (Absolutely nothing against any of those by the way). A quite incredibly journey into a fertile imagination, and a queasily imagined microcosm, where anything goes, including a few things you hadn't thought of before. Absolutely worth a read, though not late at night, it'll probably disturb you and leave a few unanswered questions gnawing away. Prepare yourself for the weird world of DeForge.

El mejor cómic del 2014
Lo compré para un regalo y tanto la persona que lo recibió como yo mismo hemos flipado con el cómic. Unos dibujos muy muy originales (Michael Deforge es un genio) y una historia muy original también :)

My favourites.
A wild and surreal read with gorgeous art and intricate details. This is the book that got me back into comic books.
