The mat needs to be weighted down if windy

I was so excited to FINALLY purchase a Monkey Mat. I've been a fan of them for almost 3 years, but never bit the bullet to bite one. I'm very glad to have it. We used it today at the zoo. We used it on a paved area and that didn't work as well as I would have liked. While the weights on the corners should keep the wind from blowing it, four four-year old children can move around in an instant.I wish the ground stakes were included with this. I did buy them to use when we have our Monkey Mat on the grass. I will probably use the stakes every time I use it on the grass just so the kids don't move it around everywhere.Things I like: the attached pouch, the lightweight fabric, the size when opened, the size when folded, the color, the weight corners.

We received this blanket today. My boys absolutely loved it! It works well on carpet to protect it from stains, crumbs, crafts. We placed it under their table while they ate and used it in front of the tv while they snacked.Pros: small, portable, protection to floor from minor leaks from spills, kids love itCons: A heavy leak will go right through the mat, very flimsy, dew from grass will go through mat, weights are not heavy enough to really keep the mat in place, kids would crawl over mat and the whole thing would move.*If product was a tad more heavier, including the weights, this would be an excellent item.

Great mat to keep in the diaper bag/stroller for when my littles want to get out, I gave 4 stars because unless it’s pinned down, it absolutely won’t stay put so my 3 year old gets tangled in it easily, but that’s also what makes it easy to put in the diaper bag. I just keep some small metal stakes with it in the bag and it works great.

For the most part I LOVE my mat! It's so compact and easy to throw in my diaper bag! It also is awesome that it has a clip that can attach anywhere. Also love the weighted corners. The only think that I don't like is how thin it is, but there's not really a way around that. It has to be thin to be so compact. My baby crawls so she is always scrunching the mat and dragging it with her legs.

This is a great product! I wish I had it when my kids were smaller. I was looking for a nice travel beach blanket for our Hawaii trip, we did the big island and moved hotels 3 times and visited lots of beaches— we tried to experience as much of the island as possible:) This blanket was dope, has small weights to hold down the corners and folds back up into its little pouch easily. My kids 6&8.

This works well as an easily portable picnic blanket because it packs down to an about 6x6 inch bag that snaps easily into my stroller. However, I kind of wish the material were a little heavier so it would blow up in the wind. However, there are loops on the corners to stake down the edges.

We go to the beach every weekend, and this year we have an 8 month old so I bought this to minimize all the added stuff we have to bring with a baby. Thought it would be a good purchase instead of buying a heavier blanket. Wrong! It has weights but they don't hold up to the beach winds or to a baby who crawls all over it. The toy loops are a good idea but my little guy grabs the toys and pulls on them which makes the blanket bunch up into a ball. Within a few minutes of putting him on this mat it was all rolled up and useless to me. I think this would be a good idea for smaller babies who aren't moving around or for larger children and adults but I don't recommend for infants.
