works fine, but OEM preferred, cheap replacement

I am very disappointed with the durability of these parts. After only 2 years of service, the Shaft and Exhaust Bellows are full of cracks. The Exhaust Bellow pulled off of one flange it was mounted to and the Shift Cable Bellows completely ripped at a fold in the bellows, allowing a massive leak of water into the engine compartment. The boat was not under heavy use, was kept in a covered boat lift during the warm months and was properly winterized, wrapped and stored during the cold months. These parts should last at least 5 years. I do not recommend this brand since the quality is obviously inferior.

The water house is impossible to get on because it's so rigid and isn't formed to the shape but all the other bellows are perfectly fine

The kit I received was for an Alpha One outdrive, but not Gen 2. It was for the earlier version; often called "Gen 1". While some parts were compatable, others were not. The bellows for the U-joint shaft was clearly wrong. The water hose was a 5/8 inch, not the necessary 3/4 inch. I believe this was a shipping error on their part. When I contacted them saying I received the wrong kit, and pointed out that it was impossible to make the parts fit, they replied that the parts did fit and that I must be doing something wrong. Rather than going in circles with them I ordered a kit from a competitor. It cost more but it was the right kit. And everything in the kit was significantly higher quality. I'd rather pay more for a kit that will last longer than to install cheaper components that will likely fail quickly.
