BEMIS 1240200 346 Eljer Emblem Plastic Toilet Seat, ROUND, Biscuit/Linen

Our Eljer Emblem toilet is over 20 years old; so was the old seat, which had stains that could not be removed. I think the original color was "almond". This replacement seat is "Biscuit/Linen", which is a little lighter in color, but looks like a good match when installed. If you have any questions on color, you can check the Bemis site and even order color chips, for a price.One reviewer complained the nuts and bolts were plastic. Too bad he wasn't around when we removed the old seat, which had metal nuts and bolts. The top of each bolt had rusted so badly that it couldn't be turned, and the nut was inaccessible to turn. We needed a special saw to cut off the old seat hinges, then shear off the top of the old bolts. I'm glad the new hardware is plastic, so we won't have to deal with that problem again. If the plastic bolts eventually break, they are inexpensive to replace.The seat was expensive, but Amazon had a good price compared to home improvement websites. It was certainly preferable to replacing the toilet, which is still attractive and has always worked reliably.

This looks better than the original seat. Great fit. Color almost exactly the same as the toilet. I really think that if I didn't know it was a replacement, I wouldn't know the difference. It is a nice update from the original. Very solid and not flimsy. Very easy to install. I plan to purchase another in the near future for another toilet.

Our house was built in 1985. We have 3 of these old Eljer 'Emblem' model toilets with the Squared off front. I searched pretty hard to find a cover in stores, hardware, plumbing supply and struck out. I found this on Amazon and was not sure if it would fit or not but the dimensions and appearance seemed right so I took the chance. Amazon delivered it in magical time. Got the Biscuit/Linen color which is a light cream. It doesn't match the toilet perfectly but you need to be looking for the difference to see it. The fit is perfect! The quality seems to be very good too. I'm glad I found this because I was almost at the point of replacing the whole toilet.

Ok, it's a toilet seat. But it's also something you use several times a day, everyday. Add a few more people in the household, and that adds up! When our old one was really looking pretty crappy (pun intended), I started looking for a replacement. This is an older, once standard style that used to be easily found at Home Depot or Lowes. Not anymore. I wasn't looking forward to spending $60 plus for a new one. Luckily, I found this one about $20 less. It's a lot better than the old one, which seems to have been a painted over molded design. Not bad when we first got it, but with extended use, the paint on parts of the seat wore down. This new seat seems to be a molded colored plastic, so I don't foresee having that same problem. Installment was easy. And we're all pretty happy with its appearance and functionality.

Eljer’s size and shape is unusual and the original seat from 1985 had simply worn out. This fits well, but the lid is heavier than the old one, so it closes loudly if the lid is let go to early in the process. But, the fit was key and this works!

Finally, after all these years! A toilet seat that fits, the color matches, and the price was tolerable! After nearly twenty years of making do with oval replacements that never fit right, we have the right part! I was pleased, and it made my wife very, very happy!

This seat has updated my powder room in one easy install!!!But it wasn't easy to order. I was very confused about what model number to order. The description and dimensions are not accurate in the posting. I called Bemis Manufacturing directly and talked to a really nice lady that told me the correct dimensions FOR THIS MODEL NUMBER! First of all, this seat is more square than round, second, the measurements for this model number: 124-0200-346 are approx. 15 3/4" x 14 1/4. The 346 denotes the color: biscuit. I just guessed at the color and was happily correct.My house is 30 years old and so are the toilets. The old wooden seats are awful; discolored, chipped and ugly. The new seat just made a huge difference in how the bathroom looks!! I will be ordering two more for the other bathrooms. I can't remember being so pleased with any purchase in a long time!!!

My MIL has a square front Eljer toilet in her bathroom from when she built her house 40 years ago. Unfortunately, the toilet seat had put in a full 40 years of service... and it showed!! Wanting to preserve this quirky vintage gem of a toilet, we went in search of a replacement seat. Voila! Here it is! It honestly elevated the appearance so much that it made me want to keep the old toilet and integrate it into my remodel plans.

Fits perfectly. Colour is a perfect match. First shipment got lost. Replacement was provided quickly with friendly and courteous service. Very impressive service.

The correct size to fit my toilet. The colour was more linen than biscuit but it looks gtreat. I would recommend this item.

The manufacturer of this style of toilet is no longer in business. We were so happy to find a replacement seat on Amazon and the colour is a perfect match.

Nice product I just thought it was more white, so it did not match too well.
