Skipped brand new records (and tinny speakers can't be turned off)
Bought this as a first record player, we thought that as we weren't big audophiles a more expensive model would be wasted on us. Unfortunately, it skipped in several places on a brand new record, I hoped it was just a faulty record, but I changed it for another brand new record which also skipped. It seems the arm is just too flimsy/lightweight to handle even the slightest blemish in a record.Even leaving that aside, the sound quality from the small speakers is, even to my non-expert ears, tinny - that's fair enough and what we expected from such small speakers, and we planned to use better quality external speakers instead. Unfortunately, there's no way to completely turn off the smaller speakers even if external speakers are attached, meaning that if you're near the record player you will be able to hear both sets of speakers clashing slightly.Judging from other happier reviews we may have been unlucky and received a faulty model. However, we took this as a sign to purchase a better quality model - a Pro-Ject Primary Phono turntable that still didn't break the bank (£190) and the difference in sound and build quality is huge.A couple of positives to note: the player itself has a number of good features for such a cheap model - playing three speeds including 78 RPM is unusual (possibly unnecessary as well unless you're collecting records from before the 50s) and the auto-stop feature was also nice - neither features are on the more expensive model we bought. But they're 'nice to have' features, and don't make up for the terrible sound quality and flimsy stylus arm, in my opinion. So if anyone is like us, looking for a first turntable but not wanting to break the bank, I'd recommend finding a bit more of a compromise rather than going for the very cheapest model like we did at first.

Great turntable, small but mighty.
I purchased this for my den.. I wanted something with a retro feel that could play the vast collection of vinyl i was recently given.I was looking for something small and self contained, and this seemed to fit the profile. It has just the look I was after and performs great. It comes with the tools to convert your vinyl to mp3 which is nice. Nust hook the turntable up to a pc with the included USB cable, install the software (also included) and away you go..It also has bluetooth so I can pair my phone or Alexa to it and stream anything I like. Now if you are looking for heavy base you are not going to get it, the speakers are just too small. But that said the sound quality is very good and the volume goes more than high enough for me. And if you want more control over the output then it has RCA outputs so you can connect it to am amplifier,I am really impressed with this turntable, it packs a lot into a small package and looks great.

Does its job.
This product is a good run of the mill turntable and amp/ It has a slightly 'cheap' look about it but for the price is adequate value. Linked it to a hi fi amp I already possessed and the amout of powe going out to the hi fi amp was very high and the hi fi amp could only safely be run on low volume.

Great starter unit
I have to admit I was initially looking at a more expensive player but decided that, after reading the reviews about this player to try a this brand. This player is so easy to set up, I had my first LP playing within 5 mins of receiving it. The volume is great but the built in speakers are never going to give the quality of sound, however, if you are an occasional listener or are not overly concerned about the sound then this is perfect. Speakers can be connected by cable so maybe that would enhance the quality of sound. For me, my albums had been boxed and stored for about 20yrs and I am delighted that they are once again being heard.

Good value record player
Item arrived on time, the record player is very easy to use. Sound quality through the inbuilt speakers is not fantastic, but you do have the option of plugging in external speakers.Very good value for money!

You get what you pay for
The deck looks ok. The wood laminate looks good but the inbuilt speakers are terrible. The pick up is very cheap but works ok. Connection by USB is quite easy

Looks great on my lounge table
This is exactly what I was looking for. The record player makes a really nice crackle noise whilst providing great sound. The record player looks absolutely amazing on my lounge table. The record player looks much more expensive than it should be. I prefer the look without the lid but lid on looks ok enough also.
