Brilliant bit off kit!
Great bit of kit. Makes DMX really easy to learn and all my lights work how I want them to work.

Used with Denon Engine DJ - faultless
My 2nd soundswitch as I lost my original - had to get another as just amazing! This comes with 3 months subscription to the soundswitch computer software that allows you to add your DMX lights - unless you are going to be adding lights frequently or are running big venues where your lights are changing frequently, this is enough. I've used the software to add 5 DMX lights for my DJing hobby and have let my subscription lapse - should I need to add any more lights in the future it's very simple to re-subscribe at a very reasonable monthly fee.HOWEVER, for me the fact that this USB to DMX cable can "talk" to my Denon deck running Engine Prime software is a complete game-changer - plug this into the USB A port of the deck, connect the DMX output to one of your lights and you now have complete control of any DMX light that is connected. The SoundSwitch software can also automate lights and following the recent update (2.8) it has become even better.

Takes a while to learn the software - but it's worth it
This is brilliant for DJs, connect the dongle, install the software, patch your lights DMX addresses and it's good to go with the basics. But if you put some time & effort in you can do some really advanced things - have some set "autoloops" that play for all songs, or design a specific lightshow for each song, so it plays the same every time.& there's loads of support in the official channels

Not the best build quality
Does the job, this is my second one, the first one gave up and fell apart after a year. It does the job and is compact. The software behind it has potential but lacks stability and needs a lot of work to improve it to the point of behind a premium software.

Good for the price
Great little usb/DMX but you pay for subscription which is where the money come into play

Don't by waist of money, god idea very very badly realised
Don't by waist of money, god idea very very badly realisedthe software for windows is a joke, the windows sliders are working of time to time, the ignoration with Virtual DJ is not working (v2.8 built 5)they spend some much effort to secure licenses but, even if this was for free this is not worth wasting someone’s time!

Great and easy for all but needs a but of practice before
First time using or buying a DMX computer software I must say it’s very good simple DMX fixture set up i’ve only used for a few hours and get the basic gist of itOnly issue I’ve had is auto analyzation is very poor in creating a good light show and my heads are slow in creating mode but are fast in auto but that just may be a setting I need to changeSounds switch are definitely ahead of the game and have a bright future would definitely recommend and I’ve only had it a few hours

Soundswitch
After taking an eternity to set up and with online help from tutorial all is working perfectly and gives my gigs a professional lighting display that is controllable through Engine lighting and my Denon Prime 4. Brilliant and highly recommended
