Welcome to the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School, a facility dedicated to fostering the best and brightest for the future of Japan. Here, students are given nearly complete freedom—but at a cost. To survive, they've got to get the grades, stay out of trouble, and be the very best, lest they be left with nothing. Kiyotaka Ayanokoji is a quiet, unassuming student who doesn't seem to excel at anything in particular. Stuck in lowly ranked Class D, he just wants to keep under the radar. But when everyone learns the harsh truth behind the school, he finds himself working to protect his classmates. Teaming up with the stoic Suzune Horikita, Ayanokoji uses his own methods to help his classmates succeed and avoid getting expelled!Bonus Content:Disc 1 - Classroom of the Elite The Complete Series: Textless Opening Song

Underrated show
Love this show. Characters are crazy but the action is there for sure. Also some intelligent characters as well.

Intersting anime
Imagine a school that gives you an allowance of several thousand dollars a month, a place where you learn at your own pace and are some of the greatest students in the country...now imagine the next month and your broke just to find out this whole school is nothing but an ongoing lesson..this has a lot of premise and i would highly recommend

Not your normal class
Has a really good storyline. The characters are interesting. Only down fall.... it's one season and they haven't made an announcement for another. Be prepared for a cliff hanger. It's still worth it to watch I would say.

Inequality is Common-place
- Synopsis: Meet the various students of Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School. A facility that fosters and produces the best of the best. Students are separated into different classes based off academic, athletic, and a variety of other factors unbeknownst to the students. The protagonist is placed in Class D. The worst of the worst. Tune in to see the struggles of Class D.- Comments: Although short, this series was interesting. I also liked the various quotes that are used at the start/end of each episode. Moreover, I thought the protagonist was a bit boring due to his nonchalant behavior. Reminded me a lot of Yuuji (Grisaia), and Tatsuya (Mahouka).- Analysis: Inequality is a part of life. For instance, separating honor students from standard students is pretty common in school. Or something as simple as seperrating bathrooms based on gender is also a form of inequality/discrimination. In at least some cases, inequality is more beneficial than detrimental. It doesn't necessarily have to entail racism and the like.- Features: Contains English audio, and Japanese audio with English subtitles. The subtitles are white. Includes 12 episodes on 2 DVDs and 2 Blu-rays. The runtime is about 5 hours and is rated TV-14 for violence, and suggestive themes/dialogue. There is also a reversible cover.- Conclusion: Classroom of the Elite centers around the fact that if you aren't part of the best, than you're nothing but trash. My main gripes is that the series is short and leaves many issues unresolved. It contains some interesting concepts that are often relevant to contemporary society, but plot-wise, it's all over the place. If you're into Light Novel-based animes, it's fairly enjoyable. But if you wanted something more substantial, you might want to look elsewhere. This definitely needs a season 2 to address/resolve potentially meaningful situations (such as the heroine and her brother).- Recommendations: Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate, Grisaia no Kajitsu, Mahouka Kouka no Rettousei, Re:Life, Psycho-Pass, Code:Breaker, Shomin Sample, and Kakegurui.

Inside of case in bad condition
Thankfully the DVD'S work but the inside of the case is all beat up and broken into pieces. Along with my other anime, this was packaged tightly which may explain the condition of the box. Packaging needs to be reassessed. Disappointed that I received new anime in this condition.
