Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind - Nausicaä riding on Kai Model Kit

**Please note before you buy this item that the kit is NOT painted. The box art is representing a fully painted product**The item arrived by the estimated time and was in perfect condition with no damage to the product or box. The actual kit itself comes on plastic runners that are each a solid color not unlike a bandai gundam kit and will need to be snipped off in order to build the model. The eyes and eyebrows for Nausicaa come as waterslide decals and were also in perfectly fine condition and were easy to place onto the model. (There are plenty of youtube tutorials, simply search "Waterslide decal")The model ends up being roughly as tall as a can of soda, give or take. I'd guess 5 inches tall, and probably just as long. After building and painting the model did sit a bit strange on Kai's saddle (due to the reins which clip into the sides of Kai's face and secure Nausicaa in place) but there's some leeway where you can set the reins in Nausicaa's hand and fiddle her into place, after which I recommend superglue to ensure the reins don't come out of the hand slot, which was a minor issue for me.All in all this was a great kit, easy to build in an hour or two, with decent part separation allowing for a pretty easy to paint surface.

Like most Bandai kits this one had tight-fitting pieces and very little need for glue. Only a few minor problem spots and seems were evident. A nice sized kit that will look great displayed on any shelf or in a curio.

Have not put it together yet but the quality and detail are awesome.

This model kit is incredibly nicely-built. The pieces all felt pretty rugged and it all went together very well. I had a few pieces that were flimsy and didn't set well, and I'm not sure if it was the glue or the piece's shape, sometimes feeling like it doesn't quite fit in the designated hole. All-in-all, I was thoroughly happy with how it turned out when I was done and am glancing up at my painted model as I type this! Model fans will get enjoyment out of it and the detail is a huge selling point for people who love to paint intricate figures.

Der japanische Hersteller Bandai hat den bekannten Anime-Charakter bestens umgesetzt. Die Bausatzteile finden sich an vier verschieden eingefärbten Spritzringen- dazu ein kleines Abziehbild für die Augen(!). Das Modell ist als "Snap-Fit" Konstruktion ausgelegt. Die Passgenauigkeit der Teile ist gut bis sehr gut - als richtig Bastelspaß! Dazu kommt ein Plastik-Sockel als Aufsteller.Die Farbangaben sind in Bildform (Text usw. nur japanisch) klar erkennbar. Eine akzentuirte, farbliche Fassung sollte für die Figurengruppe unbedingt vorgesehen werden. Der Anime-Spielfilm "Nausicaä- vom Tal der Winde" (Ghibli -Studio) bei Amazon bestellbar, liefert weitere Ideen und Vorlagen für eine szenische Darstellung des Modells. -

Fantastic model. Easy to build and a pleasure to paint. It's a great little piece for any Nausicaa fan. I even got asked by someone where they can buy one because it looks like a bought ornament (which was flattering).
