Luckily I have had no need to use this, but the design is very good. It fits nicely into my hand and the "dangerous" areas are well protected from accidentally coming in contact with them. Although in my small car I have no place to mount this tool conveniently, the design will allow me to put it into my door stash area; and to make sure it stays there, I can put it into a small stuff sack and attach the cording to my door.The only criticism I have that results in a 4 instead of a 5 is that it would be very convenient to have some type of hole or attachment (e.g., D-ring) that would allow me to directly attach nylon cording to it. I do this with other items in my car that I don't want flying around in case of an accident; I have them attached together with a carabiner conveniently close to the driver.If I ever need this, I will revise this review accordingly (I hope, of course, I won't need it).

This is a well made emergency tool for breaking auto glass and cutting sear belts; an important item everyone should have in their vehicle. The price is for two tools - a very good deal. For larger vehicles ,such as three seat mini vans or suv's, it's probably a good idea to have two of these tools in the vehicle, one in the front and one in the rear..

Here are the "good" and "bad" on this product...ADVANTAGES.1. The price is reasonable in proportion to the weight and amount of metal..2. This product was not directly tested because I have not been in an auto accident that required its usage. On an indirect test, I did hit it on the bottom of a thick bottle, and the the glass shattered...DISADVANTAGES.1. The metal is not stainless steel. Unless the tool is stored in a plastic bag, it will rust.

I bought this set SafeTHammers for our two cars. I had a similar product in my truck and thought it would be good to have one in all our vehicles. Out of the package the cutting blade was very sharp and went right through the nylon strap that I used for testing. The packaging was simple and easy to recycle. I am very happy with the product and I hope we never have to use, but it's good to know that it's there when the time comes.

Based on others' reviews, we ordered 4 sets. Overall length is 5 inches each. We have not tested the glass breaker but it appears to be sturdy and well made. We used the seat belt cutter to cut some heavy duty fabric without any difficulties. Overall, we are very pleased. The reason for giving four rather than five stars is because we have not had chance to test it on glass and actual seat belt.

I haven't tested this product yet, so I can't provide a complete review. But I can say is that the delivery service was prompt, that the price is great - especially for a two-pack, and that the tools seem very sturdy. It's odd to have a product that I hope we never have to use, but I'm very happy to have them, just in case.

One of the hammers is missing the seat belt cutter...I should have known this was going to happen according to another user. What a disappointment.

Seems very sturdy, we;ll-made. Won't really know how well it works unless there's an emergency. The instructions should tell the buyer, though, to keep it in the center console--not the glove box. If there's an accident and the air bags deploy, it should be easy to see/get to....thus the center console is the best place to keep it.
