Had this approximately one month, and is working well.
This inverter combination was bought to bring power to our department's traffic unit and seems to power our 0.8 A 120 V mini fridge and some small accessories quite well on our traffic unit. Some research and lots of planning made installation pretty easy.Read the specifications, and do your research. As an example: our 0.8 A 120 V fridge requires 96 W, and therefore 8 A from the vehicle's 12 V battery. 1000 W is about 8.3 A at 120 V, and is about 83 A at 12 V.4 guage cable to and from the vehicle battery, an 80 A DC circuit breaker on the positive side, a 4 guage cable grounded to the vehicle's frame, and a properly wired ac shoreline power this quite well.

Didn't work
I cannot recommend this unit. I bought this to provide backup power for my sump pump in case we lost power during a storm. When I got the first one it was dead out of the box. Would not turn on, no lights, nothing. Returned it for another one. The second one seemed to be ok. After making the necessary power connections to the battery and the house AC I got all the correct lights and the AC outputs tested ok using an AC tester. But further testing revealed other issues. When simulating an AC failure by flipping the house circuit breaker to off, I noticed that the unit's AC outlets both showed an open ground. Also, I was using my dehumidifier to test the unit under a load and when I simulated a power failure I'd get an "inverter fail" about one time in five and the dehumidifier would shut down.I called their tech support and was told that the open ground was a normal state for the unit when no AC was being supplied. They also told me that I shouldn't be using the dehumidifier to test since it was "sensitive electronics" and this was not a pure sine wave inverter. The tech support person assured me that it would work with the sump pump. Well, it didn't. The first good rain we got I simulated an AC failure again by flipping the house circuit breaker off and waited for the sump pump to run. EVERY single time the pump tried to start the inverter unit had an inverter fail alarm and failed to run the pump. My basement would have flooded if it had been an actual power failure. Returned the second unit and bought another brand.

Great product and works well with PCs too!
Product was everything I had hoped for! I hooked it up to a 12v marine battery and hooked 2 high end production PCs, an iMac and 2 servers because ive been having alot of power ooutages. I've tested by pulling the power at least 4 times now and I get a half hour run time to 50 percent drain on the battery and when I plug power back in the inverter charges it back up and maintains the battery charge for next time. The PCs and servers all operate as if the power never went off. No distortion in monitors or anything else. Works great even for computers and servers. I'll update as more time passes. The only thing is, the fan is quite audible when it turns on. When on power mode with charging function disabled it only runs periodically but when you have charge function on it runs all the time. Other than that, awesome so far!

Extremely satisfied, most features in its class, amazing quality!
Extremely satisfied,This is one of the only inverters in its power rating that actually has an AC INPUT and fail over from that to battery, rather than just being inverter only, which is great! It also recharges batteries when connected to AC in, with a DEDICATED charging circuit enable/disable switch, which is important if you use non Lead Acid batteries! The quality / thought that went into this is much appreciated!I'm using this for a travel trailer that I'm building, to power a microwave and mini-fridge and small air conditioner unit, and needed the ability to plug in an external power source to pass through the current and recharge, and this is spectacular for that!I only wish I could turn off or adjust the low voltage alarm - I was using an undersized battery, 50ah to test it out, and ran a 700w/1000w microwave, and the voltage drop on the undersized battery was just enough to trigger the high pitched low voltage/low battery alarm until the microwave finished, even though the battery was fully charged and it was load-induced voltage drop. Even then... I understand, and it was due to my error in not choosing an appropriate size battery, so it alerted me to a potential issue, so in a way it was a positive. And on top of all of that, it's a pure sine wave! Awesome.Note : the picture doesn't do justice to how massive this thing is, it was much bigger than I expected, so keep in mind when planning for where you're doing to put it!

Great Product!
The seller was amazing shipping was fast and exactly what I needed to complete my project! This was perfect for a new sump pump install much easier than adding a secondary pump. So far testing with the actual 1/3 HP pump has been super successful.

great idea. should have a warning not to use ...
great idea. should have a warning not to use an acid cell battery though. gives off poisonous gases when being charged. need a dry cell.
