C.O.P.S. [DVD]

I purchased both Volume 1 and 2 here from Amazon, and I have to say I am extremely impressed with the professionalism that went into this set. It is right up there with the Simpsons Retail sets and AYAOTD Retails... 110% all the way! From the outer cover... to the four piece fold out.. the outside artwork ... the inside artwork and silkscreened dvd's custom art designs.This set and how incredibly well done everything was prepared for continues to blow me away. I had to make backups though, as the outer case is almost all jet black so I bet it will smear if handled much.. but WOW. Plus this set has all the Public Service Announcements and rare artwork for Empire City/select episodes. And loved the artwork that lead up to the final versions of the criminals as well. I am extremely glad I did spend the extra moolah for this set instead of the cheaper Mill Creak set... as it had paid off major dividends over and over again. You won't be disappointed here!!

Where's the CCs (closed captions)? I don't have hearing problems, but I often watch DVDs with them on. Other than that, I love this 4-Disc digipak set. You will too if you remember this show. I used to watch it everyday after school when I was 10 (& think it's criminal that the show lasted for just season albeit 66 episodes). On this set, you get the 1st. 22 episodes with bonus material like slide shows of original sketch & concept art. Then there's 9 "C.O.P.S. for Kids" Over 8 1/2 hours of stuff in all.A final note: Don't be fooled by the annoying "Incredible World of Dic" logo on the back of the box. Each episode has the late-1980s "Kid in Bed" logo intact.

The COPS(Central Command Police Specialists) are a group of the best crime fighters in the U.S. led by fed agent V.P. Vess codename Bulletproof which are formed to fight against The Big Boss and his henchmen in Empire City the nation most corrupted and criminilized city in the year 2020.This set includes all 22 first episodes of the show first season.The show run from 1988-1989.In my country I saw it in the afternoons after kid's program.Here was a Mexican dubbed version which was very funny to hear.All characters have their names translated even C.O.P.S.(Comando Organizado de Policias Superiores).The set includes a bunch of nice extras including rare sketches not included in the air.Even technics explaining how comic book was concieved and created.The audio and video quality is excellent and the menu design is well done.The only flaw of this set is the non existence of any CC.I know is a kid's show and English is not too hard but Shout Factory! haven't thought about deaf and hard of hearing people(not myself) which deserves more in a Dvd.I hope more sets with the rest of season comes soon and this can be fixed.

HI,I just want to say I LOVED watching this cartoon growing up,just think COPS&ROBBERS,RIGHT&WRONG,GOODGUYSvs.BADGUYS(THEY DON'T MAKE'EM LIKE THIS ANYMORE!)Just watching the OPENING(FIGHTING CRIME IN A FUTURETIME)INTRO brought back ALOT OF MEMORIES. This 4disc set is nicely done,each Epsd. is still as I remember them and THE ART is wellmade. The only thing is,this ISN'T THE WHOLESERIES(it only has the first 22Episodes.) Would of been nice to see Epsds like:BigBoss Masterplan,Mace's Romance,Case of the StashedCash &"MY FAVOURITES"The Lowest CRIME(drugEpsd.)& The Visiting Mother. The SPECIAL FEATURES are o.k.could of done ALOT more with them. However they do have the Orig.PSAs"COPSforKIDS"bitz, which is great since I'll be sharing(and hope fully teaching)THIS& many other shows like these to my newborn SON:) All in all I'm REALLY ENJOYING THIS SRS,and I look forward to finding and PURCHISING the REST."THANK YOU" THANKS!

You have to give Shout a lot of credit for finally making some old toons available on DVD (ie Captain N). C.O.P.S is definitely one of them. Now I'm sure some people remember this show by it's other name-Cyber Cops. But, for those of us who were old enough to remember, it's original name was in fact C.O.P.S. This set contains the first 22 episodes of the show. Although it can be argued about whether those 22 are even in any order given that the show didn't really have too much continuity. All that side, this set is definitely a good buy if you're fan of the show. Will we ever see another set, who knows? But, we can always hope.

C.O.P.S. was a show I saw only occasionally as a kid. I never owned a single toy from it, but it's always held a special place in my memory. The interesting thing is how much more I like it now even than I remember liking it when I originally saw it.You've read the product description, or you remember the show from childhood, so I'm not going to describe it in detail. Still, it's pretty cool that a high-tech police force has a bullet-proof black guy for a Captain and a no nonsense woman for a Commissioner. Not bad, 1988. Not bad at all.

I used to watch this cartoon all the time as a kid and was very excited to see the whole series available on DVD from Amazon. If you are a fan of old school cartoons, and watched this as a kid, grab it and add it to your collection!

I enjoyed the diversity, the illustration and the plot lines...it is a bit corny but overall a very good example of 'throwback' animation

As another heroes cartoon series of the eighties this one is really good. With technological wonders and champions of the law as its heroes this cartoon also touches upon issues that still affect kids today and shows good role models. With an exciting soundtrack and the inspiring phrase "it's crime fighting time," this cartoon is great!

Brilliant cartoon series well ahead of its time.It puts alot of animated series of today to shame.The only bad thing i can say is its a shame they didn't make more.

I was a huge fan of C.O.P.S. The Animated Series when I was growing up. Being the age of 3 or 4 when it was aired on t.v. I remember watching it as often as possible. To this day I still have some episodes along with The Real Ghostbusters on an old kodak blank VHS. When I saw this item on amazon I had to have it and it is everything I hoped it would be. I just hope that someday they get around to getting the whole series on DVD just like the have with The Real Ghostbusters, which of course me being the nerd I am Have.
