Bobby Darin is swingin' and sounding great!
I never knew Bobby Darin sang such great songs. His style and cool swag makes these songs a real treat. Tunes like "sunday in New York" and "a Rainbow 'round my shoulder" are fantastic. Rarely do i listen to an artist or an album and find that each song is better than the last and it just builds.The arrangements on each track is superb, with great horns and strings that seem to envelope Darin. His "hip" inflections during these songs, even though they are covers, make each one his own.If they ever come out with a definitive "soundtrack" for Las Vegas in the 60's and 70's, Darin would be right on top with these cuts. Darin left us way too soon, but his legacy Lives on. If you like the swingin' sounds of "ultra-lounge", You will be more than pleased with this CD. Bobby Darin was "cool" and this album let's us know how great he was , every time you listen.

BOBBY DOES INDEED SWING AND OH SO COOL,BUT WILD?
I bought this used but"as new"from an Amazon shop,so had quite a bargain.Now for the music,if you like Darin and swing then this is a must.I think darin easily out performs Michael Buble,a popular current Sinatra substitute and as I have said previosly can give Frank a good run for his money.One can also listen with a clear conscience,instead of thinking,well member of the rat pack,this guy was worse than a rat in the literal sense(Rat Pack)it was rumoured that he was a gangster,he certainly had underworld connections,proven fact.You get 20 tracks,all digitally remastered to very high standards and all are in stereo.Fantastic,so pleased I bought it and you can listen to the mp3 samples and decide for yourself.CB
