Doberman SE-0305OR Infrared Perimeter Protector Alarm. Orange/White

Not only did I make the mistake of buying 2, but neither worked. Called Doberman tech and they told me to change the batteries which I already had done. Sent back to Doberman to hopefully fix.

Mine may be defective but it goes off for no reason. I put it in another room to test and within 5 minutes the alarm sounds even though no one is in the same room. Maybe we have ghosts.

Doberman has some nicely designed, low price point security products. Unfortunately, the components might be just a bit too cheap. I purchased a different model at Home Depot, and I would have kept it, but it false alarmed every night around 5 am while testing it. I got this one instead and it false alarmed within minutes of arming. The supplied remote battery also died within the first day or two. I got a replacement unit from Doberman which works perfect except the remote switch seems to get stuck. I've taken the remote apart multiple times to align the seals and it seems to be working ok now. Arming this sucker is a bit tricky and hard to remember. Plus there's a hold the remote button down for three seconds instruction which doesn't seem necessary. But if the main unit doesn't sync with the remote, if you hold the main unit button down for three seconds, the remote will sync. This is not in the instructions. So is it A, my unit is flawed or B, just a missing instruction? Cool idea, but hard to trust.

Nice product but with a relative short range of 1-2.5 metters. It cannot be used hanged by a tent because the movement caused by the wind, by the moving of the tent, or by the moving of the grass or leaves is making the device to activate.

IN TODAYS WORLD SECURITY SHOULD MEAN RELAXING WHILE ON VACATION KNOWING THAT YOUR HOME AND PROPERTY IS SAFE. OR MAYBE THE NEIGHBORS ARE NOT UP TO PAR WITH THE REST OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD.DOBERMAN INFRARED DOES THE JOB,I AM 100% SATISFIED

I fiddled with this product far too long trying to get it to work. Maybe I just got a bad one but I wouldn't waste my money on another one.

On positive side,1. It definately detects when my dog is going into an area he shouldn't.2. Seems to last about a week on a single 9V battery.On negative side?2. Too many false alarms. It goes off when the wind blows leaves in front of the unit. I wouldn't want to set it up and leave it overnight near any kind of sleeping area.3. Even when it does go off, it's a wimp of an alarm. It doesn't scare any of my dogs, and I can't imagine it actually working against a bear interested in food.

Would be great for a warehouse or indoors., much too sensitive to be placed outside the slightest breeze or a ruffle of a leaf Will set this thing off!!Put it in my walk way to my front door it was constantly going off and sometimes for no apparel reason at allGreat idea would like to find something that has more of a direct straight-line so when that line is crossed it goes off something like that
